The movie evolves around Miranda a teenage girl suffering from anxiety due to a tragic event from her past. She lives with her pregnant mother Jenny and her step father Eddie.. Miranda likes the outdoors and in one early scene climbs a tree.

Jenny is concerned for Miranda's well being, Eddie decides to take Miranda out on an excursion into the local forest as a way to get to know each other better and hopefully help Miranda.. Jenny say's to Eddie, "Maybe you can get through to her" Eddie and Jenny kiss, Jenny smiles and say's "Thank you".. Jenny is pregnant with a boy.. Eddie is the father..
Miranda is unhappy, Jenny tells Miranda her friend will be round when she returns.. Jenny gives Miranda a pill for her condition..
Eddie speaks to Miranda, "Maybe you and Emily could bake some cupcakes?," Miranda looks down and does not reply.. Okay, Go Go Jenny say's..Eddie laughs as Miranda sets off the automatic windscreen wind up. RADIO PLAYS INSIDE CAR.. Miranda drinks a red beverage in a plastic bottle, Eddie speaks as he raises his hand up to emphazise his words, "So this place were going too"..Eddie looks to Miranda, Looks back to road as he sticks his index finger out, Say's, To pick up the Bassinet" A bassinet, bassinette, or cradle is a bed specifically for babies from birth to about four months. Eddie enters the male public restroom as he begins to releive himself.. A short moment later Wade enters and stands next to Eddie.. Ediie shakes his head and is not impressed with the closeness of Wade, Wade speaks, "Nice to get away huh?".. Eddie looks at Wade for a fleeting moment before saying, "Out in the woods?"..Wade replies, Yeah...Remote.Eddie and Wade look at each other for a split second, Eddie looks down and coughs as he clears air from his windpipe.. Sniffs, Eddie quickly leaves as he say's to Wade, "Have a good one"..
Wade comprehends his meeting as he smiles, Flushing of water from the cistern is heard - A Squeak of door is heard as Eddie leaves the rest room. Eddie retreives a mobile phone from his pocket..
Eddie looks down at his phone, Miranda suddenly comes out from the female restroom, A loud squeak is heard as the door opens at speed..Miranda shakes her hands down, Clunk is heard as the door automatically closes.. A short distance Miranda uses a water fountain..Squeak is heard as Wade appears from the rest room..Miranda lifts up her head as no water is coming out from the fountain head..Wade stares over to Miranda in silence..
Miranda smiles a shy smile over to Wade as she looks down with innocence.. Miranda quickly leaves Wade as she stares at him with veered eyes momentarilly, Miranda can sense an oddness to the man.. Wade watches Miranda as she leaves, Wade very cooly places his shades over his eyes with a controlled speed..
Scene change, The doorbell rings at Miranda's house, Jenny opens the door and greets Emily from outside. Good to see you Jenny say's, Emily is very happy as she looks down at Jenny's baby bump and say's, "My god your huge.." Jenny speaks, Your early, Emily enters as Jenny closes the door. No traffic, And I crushed the final say's Emily as she places down her bags..Of course you did say's Jenny..Let's hope it's in the jeans say's Jenny.Emily is the step sister to Miranda, Eddie is a step father to Miranda.. Jenny is Miranda's real mother.. Jenny say's, Let me get you something to eat, Both women go into the kitchen..
Scene change, Miranda and Eddie are back in the car, Miranda grabs a sandwich from a plastic lunchbox, Rattle of plastic is heard.. Eddie suddenly raises his hand up to express his words, Eddie say's, "I know things, Nods negatively"..Havant been easy on you..Looks to Miranda and say's, "Or your mum"..
All is silent, Miranda looks to Eddie as she slowly chews on her food, Miranda looks out of the window, Eddie speaks, "She was alone for a long time after the divorce, before.. before she met me..Miranda continues to look out of the window, Eddie speaks, "You know your mother loves you!" And Emily and I love you too.. Eddie, "We just, hesitates, We all just want you to be happy.. We saw you in the tree this morning, Miranda's leg shakes up and down at speed, Miranda's is silent, Piano melody begins to play.. Eddie, "Maybe you shouldn't go so high"..
Miranda becomes emotional as her face and mouth tighten as if she is about to cry.. Eddie, Ah i'm sorry, Sometimes your mum get's scared.. Miranda raises her hand to her face and is upset and emotional.. Miranda let's out a large huff of air.. It's not that Miranda say's, Miranda scrunches her eyes, Eddie, Miranda, sweetheart...You know you can talk to me about anything..
Eddie slowly pulls up.. Eddie speaks, "I want to help you".. So does your mum.. We all do.. Eddie looks away and raises his hand up fleetingly, "It's just" hesitates..When you get in that tree, Looks to Miranda, It's dangerous, It's high I know, Eddie explains the best he can.. I well, I don't know, Eddie shakes his head negatively..
Suddenly Wade turns up on his motor bike and stops to the drivers side door.. Wade knocks several quick taps with his knuckles, This causes Miranda and Eddie to look out of the window.. Rumbling of motor bike engine is heard, Eddie quickly looks to Miranda then presses the window switch, The windscreen rapidly lowers, Eddie say's "Yeah?"
Wade speaks with slight sarcasm, Remote, Huh? Eddie looks away from Wade and out of the front window as he shakes his head positively, "Uh, Yeah sure," Looks back to Wade..
Eddie shakes his index finger in the air and say's, "Go ahead, we're in the middle of something.. Eddie looks to Miranda, Wade pulls his sunglasses down slightly as he say's to Miranda, Everything okay in there?, Wade lowers his hand..Wade points his thumb towards Eddie and speaks much louder towards Miranda, "Is he bothering you?" Miranda looks down as she speaks with a tone of annoyance, "Fuck Off"...
Eddie nods positively, "Yeah were fine.." Window whirrs as it raises at speed.. Jesus Miranda Eddie says, Miranda speaks, "He's being weird",, Motorbike rumbles, both Miranda and Eddie look out of the window towards Wade.. Miranda speaks, "What are you doing?, Eddie speaks with amazement, "What?" What do you want? Crash of cymbals provides the atmosphere - Wade slowly pulls out his handgun and proudly shows it to Eddie and Miranda, Miranda shouts with fright, "Eddie" Miranda grimaces, Eddie freaks and immediately steps on the gas of his vehicle..Loud screeching of tires is heard..
Miranda screams, Dust floats across the road, Wade quickly follows the car and still wants to help Miranda.. Miranda screams out to Eddie, "Why is he following us" Miranda turns and looks out of the back window.. Eddie is frantic and scared, Wade quickly catches up with THE VEHICLE ON HIS HIGH POWERED MOTOR BIKE..
Wade means business as he fires his gun at Eddie,
Wade fires again, The force blows out the drivers side window, Glass explodes in all directions..
Eddie has lost control of the vehicle as he skids to a stop on the side of the road..Miranda screams as she looks behind her once more..Eddie attempts to restart the engine, Eddie has been seriously wounded as a large amount of blood begins to spew from his mouth..
Miranda is extremly traumatic, Miranda screams Eddie as she watches her step father bleed to death.. Wade can be seen in the front mirror as he begins to dismount from his bike.. The sound of the car turning it's engine over is heard, Miranda can see Wade approach, Miranda screams, "Oh my god Eddie, Oh my God" Miranda holds onto Eddies right arm, Wade takes his time as he removes his shades.. Eddie strokes Mirandas hair as he say's It's okay"..Please. listen to me.. You have to tell the girls, Tell your mother I love her..
Wade retrieves two extra ammunition magazines for his weapon from a tray on his bike..Wade puts one of the magazines in his jacket pocket.. Eddie shouts out, Run, Miranda shots No, Eddie shouts as loud as he can "Run" A thud is heard as Eddie pushes Miranda from the vehicle. A green sandwich box falls out of the car, Miranda gets to her feet and begins to run into the forest.
Two clicks are heard as Wade cocks his gun, Wade begins to robustly walk on over to the vehicle.. Clearly Miranda needs help and it is only luck that she escaped Eddies vehicle.. Miranda runs for her life and does not look back in fear of being shot.
Eddie leans over and attempts to open a small glove compartment area..Wade looks into the broken window and say's, "You, are a real mess.." Wade quickly opens the door.. Eddie takes hold of a small ratchet tool used to swap tires out..
Eddie strikes Wade with the tool but all is futile as Eddie has lost all his strength..Eddie and Wade tussell and groan, Eddie looks into Wade's eyes and say's, What is wrong with you?"
Wade is silent as he looks down at Eddies wounds, Wade suddenly places the barrel of his gun firmly into the bloodied wound of Eddie..Eddie screams out loudly with extreme pain..
Eddies voice echoes all around, "My God" The sound causes Miranda to stop in her tracks and look back behind her..
Miranda does not wait long as she begins her journey once again away from the car..Eddie struggles with Wade as a click is heard.. Eddie explodes back into his seat as Wade fires a bullet into him, (Loud explosive sound is heard) Wade fires a second shot just to make sure the culprit is dead..
Eddie jerks on his seat from the forces, Wade fires a third shot at point blank range, The scene changes back to Jenny, At the exact time Eddie is shot she receives stabbing pains in her stomach, Jenny is heavily pregnant with Eddie's son.. A loud smashing sound is heard as Jenny drops her glass to the floor.
Jenny looks down at the floor and breathes heavilly, Her baby is due very soon..
A large green bush sways to the left as Miranda runs past at speed, Eerie synthesizer effects are heard - Miranda breathes heavily as she pants with fear..Miranda runs past a large tree, Miranda steps backwards for a few steps as she attempts to maintain a sense of direction..Birds chirp, Miranda sprints, Miranda slows and looks around her..Miranda gasps as she rests her hands on a tree..
Miranda stops and hides between two trees as she attempts to find some solace that Wade is not following..
