Stella Rose Bennett was born and raised in the suburb of Grey Lynn in Auckland. She grew up in a "really musical"[8] family with parents who would expose her to the catalogs of Radiohead, Björk and Groove Armada. From the age of eight, Benee began taking guitar lessons in primary school before starting saxophone lessons in high school. Eventually, Benee dropped all music in order to prioritise water polo. She claims it "was [her] life" and that she at one point hoped to represent New Zealand competitively. Benee later became interested in writing and recording music at the age of 17, after deciding that she did not want to pursue a career in water polo. Benee attended an all girls Catholic school, St Mary's College, where music was compulsory for four years. Benee began her music career by posting covers to SoundCloud, and began making her own music in her final year of high school. After dropping out of a communications degree at the Auckland University of Technology after two weeks, during what she called "a quarter-life crisis", she decided to enter the music business professionally. Her music caught the attention of Josh Fountain, a producer and member of the band Leisure, with whom she worked on both her 2017 debut single "Tough Guy" and her 2018 single "Soaked". As Bene, she earned her first career entry on the Triple J's Hottest 100 of 2018 with "Soaked" at #58

Rachel Agatha Keen was born on 24 October 1997 in Tooting, London, to a Ghanaian-Swiss mother and an English father, originally from Yorkshire. As a child, she sang gospel songs in a church where her father was the musical director and her mother sang in the choir. Later, she moved to Croydon, where she studied at Woodcote High School and attended BRIT School, before dropping out after two years due to feeling "confined...despite learning an extensive amount." Keen spent most of her teenage years learning how to write songs professionally in studio sessions at the weekends. Raye's little sister, Abby Lynn Keen, is also a singer-songwriter, professionally known as Absolutely. Raye identifies as a Christian and credits her faith for helping her to overcome her personal struggles. In an interview for Rolling Stone UK, Raye revealed that she had dealt with struggles with body dysmorphia, addiction, eating disorder, and anxiety. In a separate interview for the BBC, Raye revealed she had been sexually assaulted by a record producer earlier in her career.

Sabrina Annlynn Carpenter was born on May 11, 1999, in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, to David and Elizabeth Carpenter, and raised in East Greenville. She has three older sisters and was homeschooled. Around the age of 10, she began posting videos on YouTube of herself singing Christina Aguilera and Adele songs. Her father built a recording studio for her to fuel her passion for music. In 2009, she placed third in a singing contest, The Next Miley Cyrus Project, run by Miley Cyrus. Carpenter's voice type has been identified as an "appealing soprano". Her early albums contained elements of folk pop, acoustic, country, electropop and house music. Her albums post-Singular: Act I have delved into "more mature" genres and lyrical content including dance-pop, trap, hip-hop, and R&B. On her sound, Carpenter noted that her music has "elements of everything". Carpenter has also been noted for her storytelling within her music. In September 2022, Carpenter released her debut fragrance in partnership with Scent Beauty, titled Sweet Tooth. The fragrance was nominated as a finalist by the Fragrance Foundation Awards for ‘Fragrance of the Year — Popular’. In 2023, Carpenter announced her second fragrance, Caramel Dream.

OIG.WgpXYG6eo7nAou.xl.jpg

In October 2023, Carpenter released a music video filmed in Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Brooklyn, New York, depicting her dancing provocatively on the altar. Profane decorations were also placed on the altar in the video, which depicts men killing each other over Carpenter and showing their coffins in the church. After Catholics expressed outrage, Brooklyn Bishop Robert Brennan released a statement saying he was "appalled" by the video and would investigate how it was allowed to be filmed at the church. The pastor of the church wrote a letter apologizing to the parishioners, saying the film crew did not make him aware that anything provocative would be filmed inside the church and pledging to donate the $5,000 the parish received from the film crew to a pro-life pregnancy resource center. Bishop Brennan offered a Mass of reparation at the parish which "restored the sanctity of this church and repaired the harm." The diocese found that the pastor had not followed correct procedures for approval of the filming, which requires a review of the script; the bishop stripped the pastor of administrative duties over the parish and removed him from his post as vicar of development for the diocese.

XMTP-2023-web.jpg

X Marks the Pedwalk (sometimes written as X-Marks the Pedwalk) is a German band whose styles range from post-industrial dance to electronic body music. X Marks the Pedwalk’s influence in the industrial and electronic music scenes was considerable during the 1990s, as they were one of the first and most popular acts from the now defunct record label, Zoth Ommog.

OIG.7RXQ95o9vQz5bRouJ.jpg

X Marks the Pedwalk – initially named "Scarecrow" – was founded by Sevren Ni-Arb (born André Schmechta, May 13, 1969) in 1987. Schmechta, who did the writing, production, and engineering of all X Marks the Pedwalk tracks, was the only consistent member throughout X Marks the Pedwalk’s history. Schmechta, a classically trained musician, became interested in synthesizers at an early age, and found himself part of several bands after he was able to buy his first keyboard at the age of 16. At that time, with influences such as Skinny Puppy, Kraftwerk, and DAF, Schmechta started a band called Scarecrow with his school-mate Regan Eracs (born Jörg Böhme)

Boy Harsher is an American electronic music group, formed in 2013 in Savannah, Georgia. Currently based in Northampton, Massachusetts, the band consists of vocalist Jae Matthews and producer Augustus Muller. The band has amassed a cult following since their formation, and their song "Pain" has become an underground hit. Matthews and Muller own and run the label Nude Club, which is exclusively devoted to Boy Harsher and related artists. Knowing each other from film school in Savannah, Muller and Matthews started the project Teen Dreamz in 2013, which acted as a precursor to Boy Harsher. The project consisted of Matthews performing her spoken word pieces and Muller providing a musical backing. Throughout the year, Teen Dreamz's sound became more danceable, as Matthews's vocals developed into a more expressive singing style. The band renamed their project as Boy Harsher in 2014.

I'm living my life
The way I want it to be
I'm only asking
For you to do exactly the same

I didn't ask for your opinion
I'm not giving you mine
I'm hurting no-one
So why do you care?

Be a good this
Be a good that
Be a good something
For these people that mean nothing to me
This is my life and I don't care
What you think of it
Please...
Just leave me alone!

So mind your business
Please go and bother someone else
And please don't dare to say
You know my life better than me

Be a good this
Be a good that
Be a good something
For these people that mean nothing to me
This is my life and I don't care
What you think of it
Please...
Just leave me alone!

Just leave me alone!

It doesn't matter
That it hurts no-one
It doesn't matter
You don't know these people
It doesn't matter
Your life is exactly the same
Exactly the same!

You have to forbid
You have to degrade
You have to make
Other people's lives fit
In a tiny box
You already made
Just for you
And your tiny self

Be a good this
Be a good that
Be a good something
For these people that mean nothing to me
This is my life and I don't care
What you think of it
Please...

Just leave me alone!

Just leave me alone!

Just leave me alone!

The summer air touches your face
It feels familiar like a fingertip of the one you love
Made to love never felt so cold
You should of known better, you’ve been told
There’s a chill upon your skin
Your suspicion begins
Better run better hide

Night is coming you wanna run away
The sky grows darker
Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide
Sun comes up you’re safe for another day
But the skys growing darker
Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide

It’s a cold summer
It’s a cold summer

In the forest
Why does it feel cold?
Feels so cold in the summer
In the forest
I’m growing cold
Feels so cold in the summer

The sky grows darker
Nowhere to run
Feels so cold in the summer
