you were a sunflower
grown in the wild like a weed
could be a blessing in a way
that’s what i’ll see
i'm just a wallflower
all of the words just won’t come
oh what’s the use of calling it quits ?
before i’m done
i could say “i love you”
maybe it bears some repeating
and here i am wearing your shoes
caught a cold like a feeling
you and me like pb and j
you know that i just want you to stay
you were a sunflower
grown in the wild like a weed
could be a blessing in a way
that’s what i’ll see
i'm just a wallflower
all of the words just won’t come
oh what’s the use of calling it quits ?
before i’m done
trying to bloom
where i was planted
this life got me sorta manic
its 90 degrees in the winter time
whiplashed cross the double yellow line
you and me like pb and j
you know that i just want you to stay
you were a sunflower
grown in the wild like a weed
could be a blessing in a way
that’s what i’ll see
i'm just a wallflower
all of the words just won’t come
oh what’s the use of calling it quits ?
before i’m done

José Padilla - Walking On Air
José Padilla - Walking On Air
José María Padilla Requena (4th December 1955 – 18th October 2020) was a Spanish disc jockey and producer of ambient music, best known for his work as DJ in the Café del Mar bar on the island of Ibiza. Born in Barcelona, Spain, Padilla moved to Ibiza in 1975, taking up the DJ residency at Café del Mar in 1991.[1] In 1994, he compiled the first Cafe del Mar album for the React label. The series is now in its 25th volume and has spun off several related compilations, as well as leading to the creation of the bar's own eponymous label. Padilla selected tracks for the first six, as well as the 20th-anniversary commemorative release. While several tracks of Padilla's appeared in his various compilations, it was not until 1998 that he released his first album, Souvenir, on Mercury Records label. The CD featured collaborations with several chill-out musicians, including Lenny Ibizarre and Paco Fernández. His second album, Navigator, was released in 2001. The album received a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Instrumental Album.
Padilla was no longer the resident DJ at Café del Mar, but toured around the world. However, in November 2007 a new compilation series called Bella Musica, unrelated to Café del Mar, was released. In 2011, the new CD compilation "Here Comes the Sunset" (Volume 4) came out and after many years Padilla has been connected to another beach, this time in Italy, Fregene. In 2015, Padilla made his new album So Many Colours available for streaming through Resident Advisor, before general release on International Feel. Padilla returned to BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix decks in mid August 2015 for the first time in 20 years, with an eclectic two-hour "Masters" set. Padilla revealed in July 2020 that he had been diagnosed with colorectal cancer at the age of 64. Padilla died in Ibiza, Spain on 18 October 2020 at the age of 64, after a battle with colon cancer.

The Café del Mar was founded on 20 June 1980. The look of the Café del Mar was designed by architect Lluis Güell. He was in charge of the design, decoration and architecture. Today, Café del Mar is a bar brand that includes a bar in Ibiza and eight bars elsewhere in the world, including Malta and Cartagena de Indias.
Café del Mar Music releases Balearic ambient, easy listening music. The collections of the music played at the café were first sold on cassette at the end of the 1980s. Starting circa 1994, Café del Mar compilation CDs have been released by various labels. In 1999, the owner of the café founded the Café del Mar Music label. As of April 2017, a total of 22 volumes of the main compilation series have been published. Café Del Mar hosted the DJs Phil Mison, Jim Breese, and Chris Coco who recorded a few songs as 3 Balearos in 2012, including the single "Summer breezin'".

"Never before in the history of humanity has such an enormous amount of gold been cast into a single, pure object," said Niclas Castello
All that glittered in New York City's Central Park this week was gold. On Wednesday (Feb 02/ 2022), a huge cube made out of pure gold appeared in the iconic location, complete with its own security detail. Made of 186 kilograms of pure 24-karat gold, the cube was created by German artist Niclas Castello. According to the Daily Mail, the artist dropped it in the middle of Central Park as a publicity stunt to draw attention to a new cryptocoin.
"Never before in the history of humanity has such an enormous amount of gold been cast into a single, pure object. Gold - the eternal metal. Symbol of the sun, of light, of the good," he said in description of his artwork. In a message to Artnet News, Mr Castello called the cube "a conceptual work of art in all its facets." He said the idea was to "create something that is beyond our world-that is intangible." In keeping with this concept, the cryptocurrency "Castello Coin" was launched alongside the physical artwork. A related NFT will also go to auction.
The New York Times reported that Mr Castello, 43, displayed the gold cube for only one day in order to emphasise the rarity of the artwork. The artist also said the cube is not up for sale. If it were, the cost of gold used in it alone would amount to $11.7 million. According to Mr Castello's team, creating the gold cube required a special handmade kiln that could accommodate the size and volume of the metal while reaching the extreme temperature needed to melt it. The cube measures a foot and a half on all sides. After being taken down from public display at the Central Park, it was taken to a private dinner which was reportedly attended by a number of celebrities.

TNMY - LAST NIGHT
TNMY - LAST NIGHT
Have you ever walked past an abandoned house on the side of the road and thought to yourself, what’s in there? And why did the inhabitants leave? It’s a natural curiosity, says Andre Govia, a photographer and urban explorer, but fear of getting in trouble and the unknowns within prevent most people from walking inside. Undeterred, Govia began exploring abandoned buildings in 1999. The decaying buildings and derelict landscapes he encountered were often vandalized, demolished or converted into newer structures. To preserve a record of the unseen history decomposing before him, he brought a camera. Soon, documentation turned to art. Govia released, “Abandoned Planet,” a book that contains 380 of the thousands of photographs he has taken during his adventures. The book is filled with images of deserted hospitals, hotels, schools, theme parks, mansions, cottages, car graveyards and industrial spaces. In all, the explorer has visited more than 900 locations in about 22 countries. “I went to Germany 15 times last year, also Portugal, Spain, France, Holland, Austria, America, Sweden and Norway, and we have Iceland coming up and maybe Russia,” Govia told Art Beat.

Samuel George Lewis (born 9th July 1994) is an English singer-songwriter, musician and record producer. He is mostly known for collaborating with many artists from Tove Lo, Dua Lipa, Mabel, Victoria Monét, Lucky Daye, Jessie Ware, JP Cooper, Raye and Ray BLK to Bruno Major, Frances, Clairo and LANY.
A native of Reading, England, Lewis first became interested in music in his teens and played in several bands before he started experimenting with remixing tracks. Influenced by the introspective pop of Bon Iver and James Blake, as well as the club-ready hip-hop of artists like Common, Timbaland, and The Neptunes, Lewis began posting his own evocative, moody tracks online. He quickly built a loyal following, and eventually secured a residency DJing at Liverpool's Chibuku Club. He stated, "Being a resident DJ at Chibuku in Liverpool was fundamental. It allowed me to spend a lot of time behind the decks and see a different top DJ every week. Genre-wise, Chibuku has had everything: house, dubstep, techno, drum 'n' bass. The first night I went to, Ben Klock was playing downstairs and Andy C upstairs. There aren't many places in the world where you'd get those two on the same line-up. You have this new wave of electronic producers who are largely SoundCloud-based, making electronic music without any thought to the club. That's great. But there's so much to be learned from the old-school approach of resident DJing."

Eyedress
Eyedress was raised in an area in the Philippines which he described as "ghetto", and began playing the guitar at a young age. He and his family moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he was introduced to punk music through the "gangsters" and "anarchist types" in his neighborhood. At age 13, he and his family moved to California after his father, an animator, started working with 20th Century Fox. While living in Orange County, California, he joined the crust punk band Liberal Underground as a bassist. He moved back to the Philippines at age 15 with his family. Before starting his career as a musician, he designed clothing for a brief period of time and, at age 20, he started composing music by making beats on his laptop and releasing them for free online.
After gaining a small following from making beats, Eyedress was introduced to Filipino singer Skint Eastwood through a promoter from Manila, and the two collaborated on the song "Biolumine". The song earned him attention from a French label which pushed for him to make an album, which then earned him a record deal with Abeano Records, a subsidiary of XL Recordings. On December 2, 2013, he released his debut extended play Supernatural, which he recorded in his bedroom using FL Studio.
The Marías are an American indie pop band from Los Angeles, California. They are known for performing songs in both English and Spanish, as well as infusing their music with elements like jazz percussion, guitar riffs, smoke-velvet vocals, and horn solos. Their core lineup consists of lead vocalist María Zardoya and drummer/producer Josh Conway, guitarist Jesse Perlman, and keyboardist Edward James.
The band is named after its lead singer María Zardoya who was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She and her partner Josh Conway, the drummer, met at a show at the Kibitz Room, the bar and music venue inside Canter's Deli in Los Angeles. She was performing on the bill and he was managing the sound, something he had never done before. They began writing almost immediately after meeting, and subsequently began dating. Soon they recruited close friends to join as band members; Edward James on keyboards, and guitarist Jesse Perlman. They were offered an opportunity to make songs for television, which helped them understand the visual and sonic feel that they were striving for, but when it did not materialize, they used their recordings to make an EP, entitled Superclean Vol. I. Vol. I was released in 2017, while its counterpart Vol. II was released in 2018. In 2020–2021, the Marías quietly signed to Atlantic Records. In September 2021, their single "Hush" topped the Billboard Adult Alternative Airplay chart, becoming their first chart-topping single. On November 23, the Recording Academy announced that band's debut album Cinema was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. In 2022, the band went on tour in promotion of Cinema and opened for Halsey on her Love and Power Tour.

Memoryhouse is a Canadian indie dream pop music group formed in 2009 in Guelph, Ontario. The band was signed to Sub Pop. Memoryhouse consists of Evan Abeele (composer) and Denise Nouvion (vocalist). Their sound has been described as similar to that of Beach House. In reviewing the 2010 release of The Years, Pitchfork wrote that "the EP clearly sets Abeele and Nouvion apart from their more amateur peers. The Years may be awash in nostalgia, but far from inviting unfavorable comparisons, it mostly confirms that the past was indeed as good as you remember."
