Movie Number 1 - Prey

Prey is a 2022 American science fiction action film in the Predator franchise. It is the fifth film in the mainline series and seventh in the overall franchise. It is a prequel to the first four films, being set in the Northern Great Plains in 1719. The film is directed by Dan Trachtenberg and written by Patrick Aison. It stars Amber Midthunder, Dakota Beavers, Dane DiLiegro, Michelle Thrush, Stormee Kipp, Julian Black Antelope, and Bennett Taylor. The story revolves around a young Comanche woman, Naru, who is striving to prove herself as a hunter. She finds herself having to protect her people from a vicious, humanoid alien that hunts humans for sport, as well as from French fur traders who are destroying the buffalo they rely on for survival.

Amber Midthunder as Naru

Midthunder's mother Angelique, who is originally from Thailand and of Thai-Chinese ancestry, is a casting director and stunt performer, and her father David is an actor of Native American Assiniboine descent; Angelique and David met while working on the 1995 Japanese film East Meets West. Midthunder is a citizen of the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribe. She was born on the Navajo Nation in Shiprock, New Mexico, and eventually returned there after spending much of her childhood in Santa Fe, where she attended the Academy for Technology and the Classics and her mother worked in a casting firm. Midthunder developed an interest in acting as a child, where she would memorize and recite lines from her favorite shows, but disliked her first experience in the job, leading her to take some time before another performance, even considering a career in make-up, where she worked as an intern, or mixed martial arts, having trained and taught Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Acting may be new to Beavers, who was just 22 when he filmed Prey, but entertaining isn’t. He and his family moved to Nashville in 2014 with their band, Sheridan Hill, and they hit the Nashville bars to perform country, folk, rock, and Americana, with Dakota at the mic and on the guitar.

Michelle Thrush as Aruka, Naru and Taabe's mother

Thrush, who is Cree, was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, by parents who were chronic alcoholics. She recalls being called "Squaw" at Bowness High School and bullied because of her parents' illness. In grade nine she changed schools and attended Calgary's Plains Indian Cultural Survival School, where she felt accepted for the first time. Commenting on her experience at that school, she stated: "There were other Native students there, and I learned so many wonderful things about myself, about my culture, about my language, about drumming and singing. They filled in a lot of the voids that my soul was just begging for."

Julian Black Antelope as Chief Kehetu

Julian Black Antelope (nicknamed JBA), is a Canadian actor of First Nations/Central American and Irish descent who first entered the film and television arena in 2004 on DreamWorks/TNT's epic six-part mini-series Into the West (2005) alongside First nations Canadian icon, Graham Greene. A self-taught actor with no financial means for formal training, learned by trial and error working hard to carve out a small living doing plays, day player roles including working as a stunt performer, His first television breakthrough would come in 2010 on the gritty and critically acclaimed Canadian first nations television series Blackstone (2009).

"She was originally meant to have a small role; however, her popularity among test audiences encouraged director Dan Trachtenberg to include more of Coco in the film,”

The movie’s star, Midthunder, said that Coco is "... a little bit of a hot mess — but in a sweet way,” which required a little more patience with the rescue as she learned. In the end, it was Coco's “own joyful and playful personality” that won the hearts of everyone involved with the film.

“The response Coco is getting is proof that the extra care and patience paid off!” the post added. “We are so delighted that Coco found the life she has, and is now shining a light on the potential of shelter dogs and what they are capable of when given a chance.”

Coco may not have dreamed of seeing her name in lights, but that’s exactly what happened. The dog who’d been passed from home to home finally found a new family, and, unbeknownst to her, she was about to become a big star. “Coco was a lost pet and was being taken care of by a member of the community for several weeks,” Chloe Arrington, social media coordinator for Lifeline Animal Project at Fulton County Animal Services, told The Dodo. “[They] tried to locate anyone looking for her, but they could not keep her permanently.” When the search for Coco’s family proved unsuccessful, the sweet dog found herself in the shelter. A foster took her in for a short while — but they couldn’t keep her either. “She came back to the shelter and her new family came and adopted her,” Arrington said. “They had been hoping she would be available for adoption and, sure enough, fate stepped in!” Coco's new family are entertainment industry professionals who had the perfect opportunity for their new pup — a starring role in Hulu’s “Prey,” a prequel to the Predator franchise. The talented pup plays the role of Sarii, trusted partner of Naru (Amber Midthunder). “Along with her family, she has a dedicated trainer now as well,” Arrington said. “Coco may have more roles in the future, as she is a pup who loves to be active and keep moving and learning. Having a job is a great fit for her.”

Left - Bennett Taylor as Raphael Adolini, an Italian translator hired by the French. This character was first alluded to in Predator 2 (1990) and later depicted in the comic book Predator: 1718 (1996).

Bennett Taylor is a Canadian actor, artist and poet who was born in Montreal, Canada and was also raised there. He has successfully acted in various films and also worked as a producer and director in several movies and TV dramas. Bennett currently resides in British Columbia with his girlfriend and he loves to act and make videos on various interesting and timely topics as well as being an entrepreneur creating art such as the amazing Beanie Baby’s fur coat among his creations. He became famous for the movie Prey which came out in 2022 and The Bentayman Xperience in 2020 Tv series and among the films he acted in are Motherland: Fort Salem, Arrow, Tooth and Tail, Supernatural etc. He is quite a popular personality on the internet social media also. He has received many award nominations for his outstanding work.

Nelson Leis as Waxed Mustache

Nelson Leis is an actor, writer, and producer well known for his work on A.T.A.C.K (2022), Van Helsing (2021, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018-2020), The Curse of the Willow Song (2020), Genesis Code (2020), Supernatural (2013-2019), Valley of the Boom (2019), When Calls the Heart (2017), Bates Motel (2016), Distortion (2015), Helix (2015), Bad Seeds (2013), and The Jim (2010). His latest two series, The Last of Us and Shogun, are both in post-production and expected to come out in 2023. Nelson Leis plays a barbaric French trader simply called Wax Mustache in Prey, the fifth installment in the Predator franchise. Set in 1719, a young Comanche woman is determined to prove herself as a worthy hunter. Initially joining a hunt for a mountain lion, she quickly finds herself protecting her tribe from sadistic French traders and the ultimate Predator. Prey premiered exclusively on Hulu on July 21, 2022.

Troy Mundle is a bilingual actor known for his work on the 20th Century Studios’ Predator origin story Prey, Peacemaker, Riverdale and the acclaimed independent film, Exhibit Man. He will be seen in a leading role on October 29th on Lifetime’s new movie, An Amish Sin. In addition to Hulu’s new mini-series Washington Black and CBC’s new mini-series Bones of Crows, all highly anticipated projects.

The voice of Naru is heard as she speaks her native tongue - She speaks softly - A long time ago it is said, a monster came here. Camera slowly pans upwards over the beautiful scenery.. No sounds are heard..

Moose casually graze - Moose to the right looks over for a few seconds as it chews on some foliage.. Right moose looks away as it flicks it's right ear - Birds can be heard softly chirping..

A low level wind and hazy sound of corn blowing in the breeze is heard..

Hideskin artifact shakes softly in the wind.. String below dances in the breeze..

It is very quiet as Naru rests, A low level violin chord plays, crackling is heard.. A ruffling of material is heard as suddenly someone stands lightly onto Naru to disturb her sleep.. Naru groans as her head shakes rapidly for a split second, Grimaces.. Naru does not want to get up.. A sound of sticks vibrating against each other is heard.. Naru opens her eyes and lifts her head as she looks out at the entrance to the tent.. A small amount of light graces her head..Naru looks out but the light is becoming irritable as she turns her head away unable to face the outside.. Naru rests her head as she looks back over towards the tents entrance..

Violin continues a soft and sombre melody.. Naru now turns and looks at her pet dog companion, his name is Sarii - Sarii begins to sniff the air in fast succession as the fire softly burns..Sarii lowers his head slightly in concern for Naru as he whines gently.. Naru is still resting.. Almost immediatly Naru opens her eyes and quickly gets out of her bed.. A soft scrunching is heard as Naru's feet pass Sarii. Sarii follows with his head as Naru walks across the tent.. Sarii's ears stick up alert as he whines again with concern..

Naru slowly makes her way to the opening in the tent as she bends down and picks up a leather bag with strap with her left hand. Tapping of feet is heard as Naru steps out, Naru's pleated clothing shakes gently..An indian walks slowly across a tent ahead to his left.. Naru stops and places the bag and strap over her head.. Another tribal villager walks from the left carrying a bag in there right hand.. They also carry a baby in a rucksack on there back..Baby is heard wallowing softly.. A female indian woman walks slightly ahead..

Naru is solemn as she let's out a breath of air, Her long black hair sways in the cool breeze. Violin continues.. Naru blinks and looks to her left as a female indian tribe woman walks past.. Naru watches as more indian people walk past her.. A feather in Naru's hair also sways and dances with the cool breeze..

A small amount of time has passed and Naru has now made her way into a forest section close to a river.. Other indian people are also there harvesting the earth.. Naru takes several steps forward before looking down at the ground.. Naru quickly pulls out her trusty axe with her right hand from her clothing and bends down.. Naru's dog Sarii loiters behind her enthusiastically.. Low level notes are heard..

A rustling of foliage is heard as Naru uses her axe to chop away at a medium sized plant.. A whop sound is heard as she cuts the roots of the plant.. Another whop sound is heard once again as she strikes down with her trusty axe..

Sarii shows a lot of enthusiasm as he rapidly sniffs the ground in fast succession..

Two more whops of the axe are heard as Naru grimaces slightly at the effort involved..Naru is heard breathing out as she rubs the axe head against the shrub before quickly placing it down onto the ground (A sharp sound of metal is heard as the axe hits the soft earth) Naru now caresses a turnip shaped vegetable with both hands, Naru lifts the shrub from the ground and twists it around slightly as she rubs earth off with her right hand..

Indian flute sounds are heard mixed with a slow melodic grinding guitar... Birds chirp - Trees sway gently in the cool breeze.. Sarii continues to investigate the ground enthusiastically, Fast sniffing is heard from the dog, Sarii suddenly runs forward and out of site behind a large tree to the left.. A fast patter of feet from the dog is heard followed by several loud barks as he runs off excited at something that has caught his attention.. Naru looks up and away from the ground as she holds a large piece of green foliage in her hand.. Naru quickly places the foliage to the ground as she turns and watches her dog Sarii run off into the distance.. (Several white birds fly over the river) (Soft feathers drift in the air)The camera blurs as the bark of a tree comes into view..

Naru is in a world of her own as she stares ahead into the distance.. Naru blinks as she looks down then back up again from the ground,, Her hand is carefully preparing her turnip shaped shrub.. Camera pans slowly forward between two trees as a loud whack of Naru's trusty axe is heard..Leaves shake gently - Music slowly fades away to silence - Another whack is heard which echoes all around the forest.. Camera slowly zooms into a tree - Birds are heard chirping) Suddenly a spinning whirling sound of imense metal and ferocious speed is heard as Naru throws her axe once again - The axe hits the tree at speed and creates an almighty whack of sound as it pentrates the wood and stops dead.. A fast spread of broken chips explode from the bark as axe hits..

Naru steps back slightly breathless as she stares ahead at the tree and her axe.. The sound scares away a large bird which squawks loudly as it flies through the thick terrain creating a snapping of twigs and foliage..Another bird chirps loudly, Naru quickly walks forward to retrieve her axe.. Sarii follows just behind her.. Feathers slowly float down from the trees above.. Sarii steps ahead as he wags his tail.. Naru reaches towards her axe with her right hand before rapidly pulling it out and away from the tree, (A crunching sound is heard as the axe is pulled out) Naru suddenly spins the axe a full 360 degrees in her left hand before catching it in her right.. Naru instantly twists her body around and with a rapid action throws the axe back at the same tree. This time Naru is more aggressive and grimaces as she uses much energy.. The axe pulsates and spins at high speed creating a whooping sound of wood and metal..An almighty thud of metal and wood is heard as the axe penetrates the tree a little lower than the first strike.. More splinters of bark burst out at supersonic speed..

Naru is enjoying her practice session as she spins around and throws her axe once again.. Naru groans as another almighty whack is heard.. Naru retreives her axe once again.. Bird sqwarks - Naru steps away from the tree and spinss her axe in her hand before turning and facing the tree yet again.. Naru looks mean as she stares at the tree while spinning her axe around on her right hand a single time..Suddenly Naru grimaces as a flood of air and flying metal permenates the air.. This time the axe hits the target which is dead centre of the first axe indentation but now produces a cross effect.. Naru is starting to become proficient and very accurate with her axe..Naru breathes heavily as her body shudders from the forces.. Naru retrives her axe once again as she grimaces while pulling it out. A cross is now visible on the tree..

Sarii whines out with concern as the tree blurs and the ground becomes focused.. Some kind of animal footprints are now visible in the ground.. Sarii begins to sniff in fast succession close and around the unidentifiable markings.. (Bird chirps) No musical score -

Naru slowly veers her head back as she stares down at the markings in the ground.. Birds chirp again - Naru suddenly looks up and into the distance.. A hooting sound is heard from a large owl like creature - Naru looks to her side as her eyes flit before focusing on something in the distance..

Sarii takes the lead as he slowly walks up towards a fallen tree trunk.. In the not to far distance a Moose can be seen carrying about it's business. Insects buzz - The moose has it's head down and is stationary.. Naru slowly makes her way towards the fallen tree trunk as she scuffles her skirt from behind with both hands.. Naru is silent as she focuses on the moose while quietly approching the tree trunk. A low level scuffle is heard as Naru bends down behind the trunk. Birds chirp - No sound score - Both Naru and Sarii watch the silent moose as they pop there heads just over the large tree trunk.. Suddemly Naru whispers quietly and say's "A White Tail" The white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus), also known commonly as the whitetail and the Virginia deer, is a medium-sized species of deer native to North America, Central America, and South America as far south as Peru and Bolivia, where it predominately inhabits high mountain terrains of the Andes.

The white-tailed deer's coat is a reddish-brown in the spring and summer, and turns to a grey-brown throughout the fall and winter. The white-tailed deer can be recognized by the characteristic white underside to its tail. It raises its tail when it is alarmed to warn the predator that it has been detected. The white-tailed deer's horizontally slit pupil allows for good night vision and color vision during the day. Whitetails process visual images at a much more rapid rate than humans and are better at detecting motion in low-light conditions.

White-tailed deer have long been hunted as game, for pure sport and for their commodities, and is probably the most hunted native big game species in the Americas. In Mesoamerica, white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) were hunted from very early times. Rites and rituals in preparation for deer hunting and celebration for an auspicious hunt are still practiced in the area today. Ancient hunters ask their gods for permission to hunt, and some deer rites take place in caves.

The white tail deer bends it's head down as it eats some grass from the ground, Deer grunts and is oblivious to Naru and Sarii behind the tree trunk..Naru keeps her attention on the deer. Birds chirp - Naru's hair blusters in the breeze.. Low level synthesizer begins tyo play.. Naru turns to her dog companion and say's softly Sarii..Naru speaks in her native tongue of the comanche tribe "Mahoinitu"
Naru begins to use a form of sign language as she raises her right hand with thumb and pinky finger raised while the three middle fingers are closed..Naru say's "Nita" as she slides her thumb across her neck at speed indicating to Sarii that she intends to kill the deer.. Naru nods at her dog as a sign that he understands her motives..

A light wind is heard as the grass gyrates in the breeze.. Naru looks down fleetingly before slowly rising from behind the tree trunk. The deer continues to eat grass and has not moved from it's position.. A synthesier chord rises in note to elevate the tension as Saru concentrates on the deer with her axe in her right hand.. Naru squeezes the wooden handle as her thumb wraps around it..

Suddenly Naru becomes startled as she immediately looks up into the sky.. A loud rumbling of thunder is heard which has made Naru feel uneasy.. Naru breathes out a sound of anxious fear as the thunder reverberates all around the forest.. Now a loud sound of an exploding laser gun is heard which instantly startles the white tailed deer.. The deer has now been frightened also and quickly runs off at high speed deluding Naru of the kill. Naru watches for a split second as the deer hot tails it into safer regions of the forest..

Sarii barks and quickly spots the deer from a distance.. Sarii barks again as the animal quickly begins to chase after the white tailed deer. Naru also begins to chase after the elusive deer, Sarii barks two more times in quick succession as it enthusiastically runs after the deer..Naru continues to run as she reaches the second fallen tree trunk the deer was near. Naru quickly jumps over the large trunk left foot first. (Naru grunts a high shriek as she clears the trunk) Naru carries her axe in her right hand as she runs as fast as she can. Naru's feet produce a scrunching sound) (Light drum beat accompanies the action) Naru glances her dog across the way as she continues the chase..The deer takes large hops as it evades it's enemy.. Naru shrieks again as she jumps on and over another tree trunk. Naru bends down as she slides under yet another trunk... Sarii has caught up with the deer as they both run at an equal distance.. The deer grunts loudly as Sarii turns into the deer causing the large wilder beast to change it's direction. Both animals touch as they turn.. Naru continues to follow - Naru manages to keep up as she glances over at Sarii and the deer. Naru breathes fast and furious,

Suddenly Naru catches up with the deer as they make contact, Deer grunts and runs off into another direction.. Naru grunts as she jumps up and kicks a tree with her right leg (Throws axe) before pushing off and falling to the ground..Naru uses her leg to control her speed as she slides down a sharp incline, Naru hits another tree with her leg causing her to stop instantly. Naru grunts as she comes to a stop. Naru leans forward and pulls her axe from the tree.. Snapping sound is heard as it is pulled away at speed. Violin melody is heard - Naru breathes out as she looks around..Suddenly a loud metallic snapping sound is heard followed by a loud cry of pain from Sarii.. Naru instantly looks over to where the sound has come from with concern on her face..

Light crunching of foliage is heard as Naru walks on over to Sarii.. Sarii whines, Naru begins to run - Sarii is frozen on the spot and is not his normal self.. Sarii turns his head and whines more as Naru reaches him. Higher whining is heard as Sarii lowers his head with appreciation for his masters presence. Naru begins to touch Sarii's tail with both hands.. Sadly Sarii has got his tail caught in a bear trap.. A chinging of metal is heard as Naru caresses the trap as she finds a way to release the painful device..Naru grabs both sides of the trap with her hands before lifting the device up gently. Suddenly the trap releases to the relief of Sarii.. Sarii begins to bark enthusiastically after being released.. Sarii snaps forward barking also which causes Naru to jerk back momentarilly. Dog jumps up once with paws in the air and barks..Naru retrieves a small leather pouch and begins to open it up with both hands..A popping sound is heard as Naru pulls at one side of the pouch.. Naru puts her hand in and begins to retreive some of the contents. Naru glances over her shoulder - Naru begins to massage and crumple some orange petals in the palm of her hands..Naru looks over her shoulder again. Dog whines as Naru begins to rub the orange petals into the injured dog's tail. Dog whines..Flute sound are heard - Dog watches Naru apply the secret medicine.

.Naru pats her dog and say's softly shuss shuss. Sarii is happy and begins to lick Naru's face.. Naru crunches her face as a licking sound is heard. Naru pets her dog.. A metalic sound is heard as Naru carefuly picks up the bear trap.. Rattling jingling of metal is heard - Naru examines the trap as she turns it around in her hands several times.. Birds chirp - Snapping of metal is heard as Naru pulls on the thick metal links of the chain with both hands. Naru does not like the trap and decides she will break it as best she can.. Naru lay's the chain onto the ground and begins to smash the links with a large stone.. Naru groans with effort as she smashes down.. Ching Ching is heard.. Naru holds up the trap as she examines it further..

Suddenly a loud thunder is heard infused with a strange travelling rocket sound.. The sound causes a bird to chirp with distress at the sound..Naru looks all around as she attempts to find out what the unusual sound can be..

A chinging sound from the bear trap is heard as Naru quickly stands up onto her feet. (An eery synthesizer chord is heard) A light tapping of feet from an inquistive Naru is heard - Naru quickly locates the direction of the sound as she walks down an incline situated on a mountain peak.. Sarii follows just ahead.. Sarii barks - Trees sway in the breeze - As Naru reaches closer to the mountains edge her eys fixate on something high in the sky.. More rumbling thunder overlayed with a fizzing static of electricity is heard all around..Naru is motionless as she looks up in awe at the clouds..

A loud rumbling sound is heard all around.. Naru and Sarii stand at the edge of the mountain..

Suddenly the clouds are alive as they melt and elope around a strange orangey red light.. A trail of darker clouds follow behind followed by flashes of lightening..Drums begin to play as the sky pans up to reveal the title information for the movie..

Fast Drums are heard as the Logo for Prey swoops down from the top of the screen..Dark synthesizer notes are also heard..

The heavy music fades away to reveal a hawk that is squawking high in the sky. The hawk glides a small amount of distance before flapping it's strong wings 3 times.. Hawk glides then repeats the process. The voice of Taabe is now heard and is the brother of Naru. "I remember when Father told me I was ready for kuhtaamia. (For Naru's Kuhtaamia (A right of passage where a hunter kills something that can kill back) Birds chirp - Taabe holds his spear up into the air as he notices the hawk flying overhead. "Taabe continues, "My big hunt". A rubbing sound of wood is heard as Naru pulls back the string on her bow, Taabe continues, "You were little, So, Mother took you to gather medicine. Naru is silent and concentrates on her aim.. Taabe continues, "My Father and I,

Taabe is feeling sentimental as he closes his eyes momentarilly as he explains past events with Naru. Taabe opens his eyes and raises out his right hand momentarilly as he emphasises his words, "we went up into the hills." Taabe looks over towards Naru and say's "The rain was bad" Turns away and looks down while shaking his head slightly with disapointment.. "Everything was wet".. A continous lisp of insects is heard - Naru stills holds her bow and arrow statically as she waits for an opportunity.. Taabe continues, "We crawled through the mud" and my bowstring got ruined and.... Naru snores loudly - Naru is not finding Taabe very interesting as she closes her eyes with a stale boredom..Naru snores as she almost falls asleep from Taabes words..

Taabe turns his head away from Naru with slight annoyance that she is not showing much interest in his story.. Suddenly a twang and stretch of string is heard as Taabe lifts his bow and aims his arrow at something in the sky.. A secon passes as a whir of stressed string and bow is heard before an almighty high pitched twang as the arrow is released at supersonic speed.

The hawk that was seen earlier is now visible high in the sky, It has caught a fish and is on it's journey home.. A high pitched whizzing sound is heard as the arrow Taabe released blazes up and through the hawks body..A massive thud and then a loud squawk is heard as the arrow penetrates the bird. The hawk instantly veers off to the right as blood explodes out from the hawks torso..

Taabe casually lowers his bow and turns to Naru as he say's calmly "You were sleeping". Naru has lowered her bow as she looks into the sky. Naru turns to Taabe before shaking her head and saying, "I was waiting for it to circle back"
The hawk is now seen falling from the sky including the fish which has now seperated from the birds mouth.. Naru speaks again, "Now your gonna have to cross the river to get it" in an unimpressed sort of tone..

Two indian girls and a man stand across the river and are looking over towards Naru and Taabe..The indian man suddenly swings out with his right hand as he carries out a spot of fishing. Girls also throw out hook and line - Instantly the hawk lands just a few feet behind the three indians creating a thudding sound.. The indians shout out "Whoa" with surprise as the dead bird lowers it's wings out.. Arrow still protrudes from dead hawk. Naru continues her unimpressed sarcasm as she looks at Taabe then away again as she say's "Don't get your bow string wet"...Taabe turns his head and looks at his sister with a sad expression on his face..Naru speaks again, Taabe - Naru gently slides over on her front foot then back as she speaks with excitement.. "This morning.. In the sky, Naru shakes her head slightly as she emphasises her words.. "I saw a sign"...Naru hesitates then nods slightly forward as she say's with confidence, "The Thunderbird"...Hesitates, I've been practising..."It's time, I'm ready for my kuhtaamia".. Taabe speaks as he nods slightly, "You really think you're ready?"..Taabe produces a strained smile as he begins to slowly walk over to Naru.. Taabe stops in his tracks as he veers slightly, "Speaks softly, "You wanna hunt something that's hunting you?> Naru stares at her brother in silence as she attempts to understand her brothers wise words..

Comanche history is the story of the Native American (Indian) tribe which lived on the Great Plains of the present-day United States. In the 17th century the Eastern Shoshone people who became known as the Comanche migrated southward from Wyoming. In the 18th and 19th centuries the Comanche became the dominant tribe on the southern Great Plains. The Comanche are often characterized as "Lords of the Plains." They presided over a large area called Comancheria which they shared with allied tribes, the Kiowa, Kiowa-Apache, Wichita, and after 1840 the southern Cheyenne and Arapaho. Comanche power and their substantial wealth depended on horses, trading, and raiding. Adroit diplomacy was also a factor in maintaining their dominance and fending off enemies for more than a century. They subsisted on the bison herds of the Plains which they hunted for food and skins. A violin begins to produce long and slow notes, Naru has now left her brother for the time being as she makes her way back to her camp.. Sarii walks by her side as she climbs up a shallow embankment by the river.. Naru's hair sways in the breeze..The camera quickly pans up to film the beautiful scenery.. Two horse riders are in the distance..The comanche camp is just ahead..

Light voices of chatter can be heard... Two girls to the left circle each other as they play.. Two indian men talk to one another, They suddenly turn and look at a tent close by, The indian to the left stamps his spear down softly to the ground. A white dog stands motionless as it watches Naru and Sarii walk into camp.. Another indian woman walks past Naru.. An indian man comes from the left with a horse.. Another woman is sat down.. An open fire blazes ahead. A woman and two children are visible in the distance.. The indian with the horse walks across the path of Naru, Sarii twists around with a wagging tail.. Sarii then circles Naru.

A woman tends to a bomb fire of wood and branches, Woman and children hold hands as they continue to walk towards the fire. Woman who is bent down over wooden heap suddenly stands and looks directly at Naru. The woman passes Naru a leather bag that has pieces of wood inside.. Naru takes the bag with her right hand..Both Naru and the wood woman turn away from each other. Woman and children walk up to an indian standing next to a tent - An indian woman from far back beats a large buffalo skin that is hanging out over a wooden frame. Indian man walks towards the woman and her buffalo skin..

Naru has a large fish in her left hand which might have been the hawks catch.. Two older indian men walk behind Naru, One has a spear and the other has a bow..Sarii looks at the men for a fleeting moment.. A horse to the left slowly walks towards a tent.. A female indian appears from the right carrying bread in her right hand.. A female indian brushes the hair of her daughter to the left. Naru looks over to her right..

Two more Comanche Indians walk past Naru.. A girl walks around a wooden structure to the right. The woman with the bread walks over to a wooden structure. An Indian woman stands motionless to the right as she speaks with another female Indian..An Indian man to the left holds a bow in his left hand.. An Indian to the left bends down and picks up something wooden from the floor. A boy runs while holding a wooden spear with both hands..Boys play and run in circles.Woman to the left cleans a buffalo hide with downward strokes using both hands.. Two female Indians to the right sit next to a tent.. Naru continues her stride as she looks left to right. Naru reaches her tent as she quickly throws down her leather bag to the floor, Two indians are outside a tent to the left. Sarii looks up and around as he reaches the tent..

Music score slowly fades away - Inside the tent Naru's mother Aruka is busy preparing an aged old recipe. A light tapping sound is heard as Aruka pushes down onto a stone mortar using a stone pestle.. Aruka twists the stone pestle around as she grinds the ingredients down into a fine powder..(Low level flute is heard) A sliding grating sound is heard from the mortar and pestle - Aruka begins to rub the stone in a downwards motion..

Both Naru and Aruka are silent as they carry about there work.. Suddenly Aruka lifts the stone up with her right hand and twists it slightly as she rubs her left hand under it , looks at the mix in her palm, before placing the stone down and passing the secret herb over to her right hand..Aruba smells the mixture before looking to her right while picking up the stone and placing back down again in quick succession. Aruba rubs her hands together before stopping and looking over towards her daughter Naru.

A wet slicing sound is heard as Naru sways gently back and forth as she cuts up the large fish.. A soft crackling of a fire is heard as Sarii sits next to it motionless and quiet. Naru uses her axe as she pushes down with both hands onto the fish.. Aruba leans slightly over towards Naru as she stares at her with one eye before looking down and beginning to grind again with the stone. (Clacking of stone is heard).. Naru watches her mother for a moment before resting her axe down..Naru reaches for and picks up a stone knive with her right hand. She immediately begins to slice the fish in half with a rhythmic up and down motion of the blade - Scrunching wet sound is heard.. Crackling of fire is heard - Naru slices the tail off from the fishes body and offers it to Sarii. Naru places the fish down next to the dog..

Aruba looks at the dog then back to Naru, Naru speaks softly to Sarii "Petsu" The dog stands up and immediately takes the fish tail before turning and leaving the tent.. Slimy sound is heard as Sarii takes the fish in it's mouth..Aruba smiles and hums from the reaction of the dog and the fish tail. Aruba looks back down at her mortar and pestle..Aruba begins to grind once more - Aruba speaks, "Trained him well"..

Naru is looking up and over towards the tents exit as she replies, "It's easy".. He's smart" Aruba continues her grinding as she say's, "Not every smart creature is easy to train". Naru looks at her mother then looks down.. Aruba continues to grind with her right hand. Aruba quickly picks up the stone with both hands before placing it down with her right hand.. Naru speaks and say's, "Is that for War Chief's bad knee? Naru reaches over and touches the mixture with her right hand.. Aruba replies softly Hmm.. Naru picks up a small amount of the grinded mixture and places it onto an ajacent rock..Naru pushes some of the paste with her index finger..Aruba speaks, "He's getting worse'. Naru becomes more interested in the mixture when she say's with concern, You didn't put Orange totsiyaa.. Naru looks at her mother as to say why? (Orang totsiyaa was a natural flower harvested in the wild for its healing properties. Orange totsiyaa can either be ingested or applied to an open wound, and drastically lowers the users body temperature in order to help counteract the effects of an open wound. To this effect, orange totsiyaa proved to be a natural solution for evading the detection of a Predator who is searching for heat signatures.) Aruba quickly looks to her right and grabs a small leather pouch.. With both hands she unravels the pouch to reveal some bright Orange petals..

Aruba looks to Naru and say's with slight surprise, "Who taught you about Orange totsiyaa?." Naru smiles as she say's with happiness, "You".. Aruba looks away as she Hmm's to herself.. Aruba instantly looks back at Naru and smiles before squinting her eyes and looking back and down.. Aruba begins to close back the leather pouch using both hands before placing it down on a rock. A scratching sound of rubbing rock is heard as Naru sharpens her trusty axe with a small piece of flint. Aruba looks down at Naru's busy hand and say's, "Your father left you that to cut breadroot with." Naru stops sharpening her axe..Naru places the flint down. Naru speaks, "I almost got a deer with it". Aruba speaks as she begins to grind once more and say's, "Yeah, well, we can't eat "almost".. Naru looks down and away from her mother as Aruba speaks, "My girl, you are good at so many other things". Naru begins to sharpen her axe once more.. Aruba strikes down with a downwards motion using stone pestel. A loud tap is heard as Aruba stops grinding while resting the stone pestel onto the stone mortar.. Aruba shakes her head negatively and say's, "Why do you want to hunt?". Naru is silent and does not immediately give an answer.. Naru speaks, Because you all think that I can't, Naru looks at Aruba.. Both Naru and Aruba are silent, only the soft crackling of the fire can be heard. Aruba blinks twice and lets out a deep breath as she turns away.. Male voices are heard approaching the tent..Naru looks up at the tent entrance.

Suddenly Taabe appears at the tent's entrance with his catch of the day. Aruba is happy and also a little surprised to see her son as she shouts out AHH with zeal.. Taabe steps inside the warm and welcoming tent with a big smile on his face.. Taabe turns and places down his bow and spear that is housed in a hideskin bag.. A loud clonk is heard as Taabe plonks the equipment down against the tent as he turns to face Naru and Aruba.. Aruba say's with zeal, "In this wind, he brings home a red-tail"

Though they were known among North America’s Indigenous peoples, the first Red-tailed Hawks studied by Western scientists were identified in Jamaica in 1781 and named accordingly: Buteo jamaicensis.

As their threatening call suggests, Red-tailed Hawks are formidable hunters. They scan the ground by soaring in wide circles or by perching on a tree or telephone pole. Then, they snatch their prey—usually a rodent or other small mammal, but sometimes a snake or another bird—with talons up to 1.33 inches long.

Red-tailed Hawks have sharp eyesight that’s eight times better than a human’s. In flight, they can spy a mouse on the ground from 100 feet in the air. To keep their eyes clean, birds have a third eyelid called a nictitating membrane.

Red-tailed Hawk couples are experts at co-parenting. They build their nest together with sticks and leafy branches, often in a tree, but sometimes on a cliff ledge or building. The pair shares duties incubating their eggs for 28 to 35 days—though the female is usually the one sitting on the nest, while the male hunts. Once chicks are born, this division of labor continues: The male hawk catches prey and delivers it to the female, who feeds it to the young in small pieces.

Taabe chuckles at Aruba's words, Naru looks down and is silent, Taabe jerks his head at Naru as he emphazises his words, "You should of listened to my story", Earlier Naru was unimpressed with Taabes story.. Naru looks up to her brother and smirks and does not find Taabe that amusing..Naru looks down as she carries on sharpening her axe, looks back up as she say's, "Didn't think we had time for a nap". Taabe huffs from Naru's words as he turns away in a circular motion. Aruba laughs a short chuckle, Camera pans up to Naru as Naru sharpens her axe, Taabe say's "Posa". All is quiet except the rubbing of flint as Aruba looks to Naru rapidly before looking down at Naru's axe.. Aruba say's "It's sharp enough" before looking away.. Aruba grabs the small pouch that contains a small amount of Orange totsiyaa, She holds it out slightly and say's to Naru, "Go get us some orange totsiyaa.." Naru reaches out and takes hold of the pouch, Naru looks down at the empty pouch and knows she has to explore the forest.. Naru looks fleetingly at her mother then down before standing up. A tapping is heard as Aruba continues to grind the secret paste.. Her body sways back and forth in a rhythmic motion, looks down.. Naru looks at Taabe with wide eyes as she passes him.. Taabe looks down as Naru exit's the tent. Aruba rubs the stone against the stone mortar with a fast up motion..

The sound of Aruba grinding changes to an echo before fading out, A sqwauk is heard - Somewhere in the mist of the Northern great plains all is silent and still. The Northern Great Plains spans more than 180 million acres and crosses five U.S. states and two Canadian provinces. As large as California and Nevada combined, this short- and mixed-grass prairie is one of only four remaining intact temperate grasslands in the world. Two hundred years ago bison, pronghorn, black-footed ferrets, and a diverse array of grassland birds thrived across the Northern Great Plains.

Suddenly the silence is broken as a very loud rumbling vibrating hum is heard, almost instantly a gigantic alien spaceship appears from out of no where.. The daunting black shape rapidly glides over the beautiful terrain blocking light to the surface. As the ship passes a door from the back of the ship closes up producing an electro magnetic static whizzing sound. A room inside the ship glows a dark red, The ship is powered by two back thrusters which emit a massive amount of flame and heat. These thrusters change direction as they lift up and become parallel with the ships structure.. A huge amount of grey dust develops around the craft, A fast whistling sound is heard - The ship begins to envelope and glow a bright orange and red, The ship begins to morph and is engulfed in a red and orange plasma, Dust emits from the back of the craft as it suddenly produces a tremendous speed..The ship becomes smaller and smaller as it shoots off into the distance.. As it leaves the atmosphere it banks sharply and rises up into the clouds..A red lightening and turbulence is produced which causes the clouds to react, A deep thumping thunder is heard as the spaceship leaves Earth at multi level acceleration.. The grey clouds slowly wisp and hide the ship that is now in outer space..

A rapid electronic slithering sound is heard accompanied by strange beeps..Suddenly an unidentifiable organism begins to transform in front of the mountain range. A glowing red and orange plasma streaking with patterns phazes down the body of the alien reptile. The alien reptile produces an almost transparent effect as it lifts it's head up to witness the mountain range ahead..The alien entity has a dreaded hair set and carries what seems to be a sword of some kind. A purring lizard sound is heard, The lizard stands at the top of the mountain for a few seconds to adjust to it's surroundings.. The lizard quickly turns and walks off into the forest while still producing a purring lizard sound..

Small white feathers wisp in the air, Birds chirp softly, Flowers sway gently in the breeze.. Suddenly Sarii appears from the right, He is energetic as he bounces into view accompanied by a soft bark.. Sarii stops in his tracks as he investigates the ground below him. Sarii wags his tail and is happy in the forest. Suddenly Naru appears from the right, Naru raises her right hand and quicly produces her trusty axe. (A soft flute sound is heard) Naru stops in her tracks as she looks down at the ground in her search for the Orange totsiyaa Aruba requested..

A soft synthesizer chord plays - Naru is somber and in thought as she carries out her task of collecting Orange totsiyaa. A horn sound is heard to accompant the soundtrack.. A loud whopping is heard as Naru uses her axe to cut away at the elusive flower.. Whop Whop Naru strikes down twice is quick sucession..Flowers shake fast - Birds chirp - A loud scratching sound is heard as Naru lifts the complete flower up and out of the soft ground. Naru takes a deep breath as she places the flowers into a leather bag..

Naru stands and begins to walk back to the campsite, Sarii barks - A light tapping of fast paws is heard as Sarii runs ahead in an excited frame of mind..Naru stops in her tracks and bends down,

A light crunching is heard as Naru uses her thumb to pull the petals away from the stem..

Naru then places the bright orange petals into a small leather pouch, the one that Aruba gave her...Naru pushes the petals down with her fingers before pulling firmly on the leather string to close the pouch..Stretching of string sound is heard..

Naru's hair blusters in the breeze, Sarii sniffs the ground, Naru sighs a breath of relieve as she stands up and returns to camp.. Cruching of leaves is heard as Naru slowly walks back, Naru holds her axe in her right hand, A snapping sound is heard as Naru pushes the axe firmly into her dress. Naru looks down as she makes her way back, Naru looks up and veers her eyes right, An indian is heard screaming out a loud wooh wooh, Another indian shrieks and another shouts Good god - Something has disturbed the Indians normal subdued character.. Naru shouts out "Itsee" to find out what the commotion is all about..A ruffling of feet is heard as two young boys come into view carrying spears..The indian boy with long black hair quickly throws a spear into the hands of the other indian boy called Itsee..The boy Itsee who catches the spear quickly runs off towards a series of tents ignoring Naru's calls to him.. The indian boy with long black hair called Hina? responds to Naru's inquisitive intentions. As Itsee passes Hina he quickly glances to him as he passes, Hina speaks with concern, "A lion" it took Puhi..

Hina runs off towards the tents as he say's "We gotta find him".. Naru stares at the boys in a state of shock..Drums are heard - Indians screech with concern, Naru flits her eyes right, Blinks.. Wooh Wooh is heard..

Loud and heavy drum beats are hear.. White wispy feathers fill the air, A comance Indian takes the lead as he signals with his raised up right hand..Birds chirp - The Indian warrior looks to his right and signals with his index finger several times as to the direction he wants everyone to take..The leading Indian warrior turns and faces the path.. Another Indian warrior is just behind him..Both Indians look from side to side with super alertness. The leading Indian warrior veers off the path and begins to climb a small incline to his right.. A third warrior appears with a bow and arrow ready to fire. A fourth is just behind, he also has a bow and arrow at the ready..

Five Comanche warriors including Taabe follow behind, Heavy drum beats are heard -Taabe looks around a warrior in front, More Indians travel at a fast pace, Human singing voices are heard including a creaking sound to produce the soudtrack..

Camera zooms in slowly towards a thick set of trees and shrubs, Indian warriors appear from the right as they traverse a gentle incline down, Light tapping of feet is heard as an Indian warriors walks at speed down and across the terrain carrying a sharp spear.. Taabe follows behind, Soft earth and grass is disturbed as the Indian warriors step down an embankment. Scrunching of plants is heard - The Indian warriors are very alert and ready for anything..An Indian suddenly runs ahead at high speed stepping over a fallen tree trunk..It is eery and very quiet in the forest..

An Indian comanche warrior called Huupi suddenly stops in his tracks. He can feel a strange and uncertain presence, an extra pair of eyes a reflection of enemy, All is silent, Huupi slowly turns his head as he senses danger, A sound of a purring lizard is heard - Almost like a co co co co in fast succession. Huupi looks further around at the sound but does not have the ability to ascertain what it is exactly. A sound of bow and arrow tightening is heard as Huupi lifts his bow and readies his arrow in the direction of the strange sound..The tension on the bow continues as Huupi becomes tense as he aims the bow directly down into the forest undergrowth.. The sound is heard again, this time the purring is slightly less obtrusive almost as if the animal is sleeping.

.Huupi aims his arrow up at the trees he is taking no chances here..Another coc co co coco in fast succession is heard, Huupi strains his facial muscles as he focuses his eyes and steadies his grip and tension on the bow.. No sound score - Camera slowly pans right, The perspective is what Huupi is seeing, Light scrunching of feet is heard - Taabe suddenly walks up and behind Huupi as he quickly snatches down Huupi's bow with his right hand.. Light wooden sound is heard - Huupi instantly looks up at Taabe with annoyance of his actions.. Taabe lloks down at Huupi's bow as to say he must be cautious and should be more clearer of his target..

Suddenly Naru appears from behind a tree accompanied with Sarii. Sarii quickly walks on ahead as Naru comes down the embankment.. Naru has used Sarii to sniff out the wherabouts of the Indian warriors..

Nuupi relaxes his tension on the bow after witnessing Naru coming down the embankment. Taabe is finding the situation a little amusing as he smiles while watching his sister make her way to him.. Birds chirp - Huupi has now disregarded the lizard purring sounds as a fable of the imagination, birds snake lizard who knows..Huupi speaks out as he nods his head up and down to emphasize his words, "You could get shot sneaking up like that"..Taabe looks at Nuupi with a casual mindset and supports his friends wise words.. An Indian from behind the pack quickly walks forward a few steps..

Light scrunching of feet is heard as Naru runs dowm the embankment while staring at Nuupi.. Naru holds a spear in her right hand and a bow in her left.. Naru jolts the spear and catches it a few inches higher before stabbing it into the ground with a delicate force.. Naru speaks with slight sarcasm, "Who's sneaking?" Taabe huffs and smiles profusely from Naru's words.. Taabe looks down, Another Indian warrior called Wasape wearing a red and yellow coloured head dress speaks out with annoyance, "Who invited you?" Both Taabe and Huupi turn around simultaneously from Wasape's words.. Wasape is not in a friendly mood as he say's, "We won't be gone long enough to need a cook"..

Naru stares up to Wasape in silence as she contemplates his words, Naru does not seem shaken and stands unswayed and confident..Another Indian warrior smiles while Taabe looks away in silence unable to say anything or persuade his sister to go back home..

Taabe turns to Wasape and the others and say's with a stern tone, "She should stay"..Taabe speaks again, "She tracks well".. An Indian squints his eyes as he listens intentively, All is quiet and there is no sound score.. Taabe nods his head up and down with confidence as he say's, "And if we find Puhi alive, Taabe looks back to Naru and say's, "she knows medicine.." Naru is silent as she stares at her brother Taabe.. Taabe nods over to Wasape twice, The Indian warrior stood next to Taabe looks to his right then turns away from Taabe as he steps up the embankment.

Taabe walks down to Naru..Birds chirp - Taabe reaches Naru and looks away momentarilly, An Indian behind begins to walk away. Taabe speaks,Nods forward - His long braided hair sways gently, "Now, you have to find that cat now.." Naru nods forward with confidence as she say's, "I will".. Naru sways gently from side to side.. Taabe speaks, "I know"..Shakes head gently, "Cause you have to"..Naru is silent as she looks at her brother..Huffs, Smiles, looks down, Pulls spear from the ground looks back to Taabe..Naru quickly runs off to her right.. Sarii is wagging his tail, Sarii quickly follows Naru..

Somewhere in the forest not to far away from the Indian comanche warriors birds chirp and insects crawl.. No sound score exits - A light scrunching sound is heard and a high pitched pan note almost resembling a metal object is heard.. A forest ant has inadvertently discovered a spiders web as it begins to clamber up it's vague and elusive architecture.. The ant continues it's journey higher and higher. A strange effect is seen as the ant seems to be suspeneded on a transparent viel of silver and white light..As it's little legs scurry they produce a gyroscope effect of rippling distortion and patterns..

Suddenly a medium sized rat appears from the foliage..A light patter of feet from the rodent is heard as it quickly looks at the ant before rapidly placing it's paws to it's mouth - The rat has just eaten the ant as it quickly drops to the floor while chewing on some grasses..The rodent continues to chew before suddenly lifting it's head up and squeaking several times.. The rat lowers it's head and carries on with chewing but is now oblivious to a large snake that is just a few feet away..

The large and quite daunting rattlesnake stares at the rodent and only has one thing on it's mind..Dinner...The rattlesnake produces a gentle hiss as it's tongue protrudes out for a split second in time..

Suddenly the rattlesnake strikes out at the rodent with ferocious speed. A very high pitched snapping sound is heard as the snake pounces onto the poor and defenceless rodent..

A loud and wet deep thump sound is heard as the snake kills the rat..The snake holds the rat up in the air as it begins to devour it's head..The rattlesnake sways it's head as it begins to glide off into the forest where it can eat it's fresh meal undisturbed..

As the rattlesnake glides and snakes along slithering it's long body it passes an abnormal white and transparent wall of distortion..Growling sound is heard - A sliding sound is heard as the snake passes through.. The snake quickly turns so that it's face is now visible..The snake still holds the dead rat in it's mouth, Something has now startled the snake and it has changed it's plans.. Quickly the snake lifts up while dropping the rodent to the floor below.. The snake has seen something rather hostile and this has caused the snake to go into attack mode..The snake hisses as it focuses on something very close by..The snake maintains it's attack composure as it hisses for a few long seconds..Snakes tail gyrates at speed, Suddenly the snake pounces and strikes out with ferocious speed at it's enemy with it's mouth wide open..Too the snakes disapointment it was no match for the alien lizard that stalks the forest. A high pitched snapping sound is heard as a very sharp blade pierces the snakes head and penetrates through the snakes head and into it's mouth like a skewer..Deep synthesizer notes are heard - The alien lizard predator lifts up the fresh kill as it growls like a lion.. The snake becomes hard to see it is now warped and transparent as it is carried in front of the transparent alien lizard.. The growling continues, suddenly another high pitched metalic sound is heard as the evil lizard entity gyrates and severs the head of the large rattlesnake without any pity or emotion..The decapitated snake is lifted up and quickly skinned with the predators very sharp blade.. Snapping sound is heard again.. The snake has now been chopped in half.. A loud crunching sound is heard followed by an explosive amount of snake blood as the evil predator finishes the snake..

Back to NARU and the Indian comanche tribe.. Puhi has still not been found and may be severely injured.. Naru takes the lead as she runs at pace up a steep embankment.. A patter of feet is heard - Deep rolls of a drum are heard to provide the soundscore.. - More Indians follow with Taabe just behind his sister.. Wasape is just behind Taabe, Naru has a bow and arrow at the ready, Sarii runs ahead and will alert Naru and the others if he spots anything of significance. Naru flits between the trees as she tracks and follows Sarii who should be able to sniff out the injured Puhi..Sarii runs ahead Naru and the others follow, Naru looks from left to right and in all directions she is taking no chances and appreciates how powerful and dangerous a forest cat can be..

Deep synthesizer note is heard - Pipe effects are also heard - Sarii has lead Naru and the others to a large pile of wild animal scat.. Sarii instantly stops and begins to smell the pile.. Naru quickly bends down to investigate further..

A fast patter of feet is heard as the Indian comanche's reach and stop by the pile, 5 Indians appear at speed then stop, Wasape and Huupi stare down at the floor as Wasape say's, "Not Good", "Dog found shit". Huupi speaks and say's, "were not looking for wolves", Now four Indians are looking down at the ground, Naru say's "It's not wolf".. Wasape is first left, Nuupi second left..

Taabe points down at the scat pile and say's, "Do you see that crushed bone". Sarii continues to sniff the pile with a slight wagging of tail..Taabe turns away and say's "That's Lion scat".. An Indian with a red died face looks ahead while the others look down. Naru stares into the distance. Taabe looks back and down at the ground, Taabe speaks again, The cat that made it was big" Naru stands up - Camera produces a blurred effect.. Sarii instantly loses his attention to the scat pile and follows Naru who has walked slightly ahead.. Something has now caught the attention of the alert Naru that deserves further inspection..

Naru quickly reaches a small bush which has some bright green leaves on top..Naru caresses the leaves and has noticed that there is blood on them. Taabe has noticed Naru's attention to the bush and stands up quickly..A snapping sound is heard as Naru snaps of a single leaf and slowly raises it up to eye level.. Eerie synthesizer pan is heard - Naru stares at the leaf and ponders the probabilities.. Is this the blood of Puhi.. Taabe places his bow and spear together into his right hand.. Sarii whines.

The Indian tribe continue on there quest to locate Puhi who could either be dead or hopefully still alive.. The fast patter of feet continues: A faster sytnthesizer beat is now heard - Birds chirp - Naru is very alert as she looks all around her, Naru looks down at the floor, Taabe is just behind her, Naru looks forward as she searches the terrain. Suddenly Sarii begins to bark loudly as he runs over towards a large tree.. In the distance Puhi can be seen resting on the ground below the tree line.. Sarii runs to Puhi but does not go up to him, Naru has now been alerted and begins to run towards the injured Indian warrior..Four Indians run in unison as Naru takes the lead, As she approaches Puhi she throws down her bow and spear to the ground - Wooden sound is heard - Deep breaths are heard - Naru drops to the floor with speed and concern.. Sari stands by the tree and has stopped barking.. Bird chirps - Another Indian warrior turns around in a war mode stance as he readies his bow just incase the lion is in the vicinity. The Indian with the bow stands motionless as he protects Naru and Puhi from any harm that they could experience.. Sarii dips down in an attempt to introduce himself to the silent Puhi then backs back..

Naru quickly places her hands onto the injured Puhi to see if she can locate any vital signs of life.. Puhi is serious injured and there is a lot of blood covering his body.. The camera pans into the injured man, Naru checks Puhi's left wrist for a pulse while holding his left shoulder with right hand..Naru is applying her medicine skills as she lifts her hand like a claw to his shoulder. Naru gently places her left hand just below Puhi's left side chest cavity.. Suddenly Puhi flinches and turns his head slowly in the direction of Naru.. Naru takes her hands away from Puhi as he takes a breath of air.. Naru turns to Taabe and the others as she signals with her right hand, Naru opens and closes her left hand like a claw to indicate to the others that Puhi has life.. Naru speaks and say's, "He's breathing"..

Naru quickly turns back to the injured Puhi as she places her right hand gently to her chest before placing it down onto Puhi's left side shoulder which is badly injured.. Sarii stands motionless as he waits for another command, Taabe turns and call for backup, Taabe say's with concern, "Petsu". Petsu still has his bow at the ready and faces away from the rest. He quickly turns to acknowledge Taabe.. Taabe quickly walks forward towards Petsu as he and the others begin to carry out another task..Sarri follows Taabe as he jumps up at him.. Fast drum beats and one note synthesizer notes produce the sound score.. Taabe Wasapi Petsu and the other comanche tribe begin to construct a makeshift stretcher from branches, leaves and anything else the forest has in it's power. Some branches sway and produce a scrunching sound as they are carried across the ground by an Indian warrior.. Petsu balances a large piece of wood that has been freshly chopped from a tree between his legs as he chops the branches off using an axe..Chop sound is heard - Putsi has three white painted horseshoe drawings on his left arm..
Taabe carries a large piece of wood, Taabe splits a smaller branch down the middle at the top to be used as a brace..An Indian warrior to the right of Taabe also prepares a branch.. Petsu comes out of the forest foliage with bow in hand as he protects his tribe from any attacks..Sarii sniffs the ground..Fast drum beats are heard..

Naru tends to Puhi as she opens with both hands a small leather pouch that is attached to her waist. The pouch has a silver talisman attached to the front..Naru uses her right hand as she pulls out a small amount substance Aruba was grinding earlier in the tent.. Naru places the substance into her left palm as she begins to squeeze and make the substance finer in body..Naru opens her left hand wide palm down so that all her fingers are outstretched, Naru pushes the substance down into the pouch using her right index finger. (Scrunching sound is heard) Naru pushes several times, Naru nows has a splodge of funky sticky gunge on her middle finger which she gently pushes down into Puhi's wound on his left shoulder.. Puhi's injuries are similar to being attacked with a large claw of a lion, As Naru pushes down Puhi winces and tightens his eyes from the sudden painful experience.. (Male Indian singing voices are now heard to accompany the sound score - Naru uses three fingers to push down and work in the secret substance..

Flute and drums are heard - Indian voice sings with passion "Cry Cry" sound score. And Indian warrior begins to assemble the stretcher that is made from wood and branches. An L shape is produced as the Indian lays down a smaller branch.. The stretcher now resemble an oblong in shape as another Indian pulls over an Orange net that will support Puhi once they get him onto the structure.. A female Indian wearing brown boots stands above a male Indian rest on the ground above the stretcher as they watch it's construction.. The Indian stood over the stretcher now helps to assemble the net over the branches. Another lifts the net from it's end causing the fabric to gyrate and shake in every direction.. Naru rubs some more of the jelly substance into Puhi's left side lower chest area.. Naru slowly slides her three fingers with and up and down motion as she works in the stuff.. Puhi is alive and responds to the medicine though subdued and very ill..

The forest is full of magical items as an Indian warrior collects an unknown mushroom from a tree. A snapping sound is heard as Indian breaks off the shrrom leaving just the stalk behind..( Rattle snake sound is heard - Syntheszer notes and low level drums provide the sound score..

Naru turns her head as she looks down at the white mushroom the female Indian warrior has brought to her.. The Mushroom picking Indian kneels below Puhi as Naru takes the shroom from her hand. Naru begins to break up the soft flesh of the mushroom using both hands. A wet sloppy sound is heard as an Indian warrior pulls a large maggot from a tree, The maggot lifeform leaves a large amount of sticky residue on the tree as it is pulled away..The Indian warrior examines the large pod shaped creature for a fleeting moment before turning away from the tree. Synthesizer air pad is heard - The Indian warrior quickly places the pod into a piece of wood at the top. The branch has been split into four strips at the top and widened, Four sticks protrude lower down almost resembling a spiked weapon.. Drums are heard - Scrunching is heard as the Indians pull the orange net tightly over the oblong shaped branches.. A female Indian wearing boots places a foot onto the end of the oblong stretcher as an Indian warrior who has bent down tightens the orange net at the joining corner section. Indian pulls hard at either end of the string netting.. Scrunch is heard.

Night is drawing in and the Indian warriors must make haste, Both Huupi and Petsu now lift the completed stretcher up from either side. As the structure is hoisted up an Indian places his left leg onto the net to test it's strength. The Indian pushes down a few times so that he is sure it will support Puhi's weight once he is lifted onto the life saving device..

A whistling fast moving pan sound is heard - Night is drawing in and Naru is also under pressure to fix up Puhi the best she can.. Naru takes off another leather pouch with both hands that is around her neck..Insects begin to lisp, Birds sleep, A younger female Indian watches Naru and may learn something, Metal beads are heard - Naru's hair sways as she shakes her head, Naru looks down at the pouch as she quickly opens it pulling with both hands.. Puhi is silent and completely motionless oblivious. Naru lets out a sigh as she applies her medicine skills. Suddenly the petals from the Orange totsiyaa are visible within the pouch. Naru also has the strange white mushroom in her left palm, Naru places her fingers into the pouch and pulls out a small amount of petals.. An Indian standing over Naru say's "So much could kill him".

Naru replies with confidence, "It won't kill him".. Naru gently places her right hand onto Puhi's cheekbone as he slowly turns towards her, Naru places a small amount of the Orange totsiyaa just below Puhi's lip, Naru has her left palm outstreched, Puhi opens his mouth instinctively as Naru cups her hand and pushes the orange petals into Puhi's mouth. A continous synthesizer high chord is heard - Naru speaks again, "Just cool his blood"..Naru opens her hand and outstretches her fingers as she pushes the medicine into the mouth of Puhi.. Puhi has not opened his eyes or made a sound - Taabe is watching the scene unfold as he begins to walk forward towards Naru. Another Indian stands motionless as he also watches Naru.. Another from behind is looking away and has other things on his mind..Scuffling of feet is heard - Taabe takes a few steps and stops dead in his tracks. Naru continues to direct the petals in Puhi's mouth.. Naru pushes her hand away from Puhi as she also places some white mushroom into his mouth. A small amount of mushroom drops to the floor. Naru leans back as Puhi begins to chew on the medicine, Puhi grimaces and produces light choking sounds as he comsumes the ingredients.. Naru produces a small leather flask and instantly begins to pour water into Puhi's mouth, Squelching sound is heard - Puhi continues to choke and wince, Naru takes the bottle away as Puhi moves his head slightly, Petals have gathered on Puhi's neck and around his lips.. Naru puts the lid back on the flask. Puhi chokes slightly as the medicine takes effect..Puhi groans and strains as his mouth opens slightly..Puhi strains his facial muscles and grimaces, Chokes again. Tightens his eyes, Puhi grips his chest tightly with both hands, Puhi speaks with a groaning difficulty, "Anaa" Body and hands shake, Speaks again, "Anaa".. Puhi has a bandage around his left arm, All the Indians watch in silence at Puhi's suffering..Naru shows a face of concern as Puhi shakes and grimaces..

(Explosive blast is heard to provide the next scene and sound score) Some time has passed and the Indian Comanche tribe are now deep in the forest as they carry Puhi on the stretcher.. (Night has fallen and the Indians are now using fire sticks to light the way) An Indian walking next to Naru say's, "Taabe want's to stay and hunt"..(A wavering flame is heard) The Indian say's "Let's go".. Naru runs up to Taabe and say's, "I'm coming with you"..

Taabe nods his head as he say's, "I can handle the Lion"..Insects lisp. Naru speaks softly as she looks away from Taabe for a fleeting moment, "No, it's not just the lion". Indians loiter as they carry there fire sticks in hand.. Naru looks back to her brother as she shakes her head slightly and say's, "Why is Puhi alive?. Naru looks to her right for a split second then back to Taabe as she say's, "There's something that scared the cat away from it's den." No sound score - Only insect calls - Taabe nods his head positively as he say's, "Ive got this".. Taabe continues, "Stay with Puhi, He needs your help too." A low level stretching sound is heard as Two Indian warriors lift up Puhi on the make shift stretcher.. Taabe is confident that he is making the right choices as he backs away from Naru having spoken his concerns..

Wasape stands behind Naru to the far left and is not in the best of moods as he say's, "We don't have time to waste talking, (Wasape wears a red and yellow head dress) "We need to get him home". Naru turns from the sound of Wasape as she carries a fire stick in hand.. The Indians begin to move off as one shouts out in Comanche dialect, "ManamUsohi". Huupi is one of the stretcher bearers and looks at Naru fleetingly as he moves off. Flames from the fire sticks gyrate and wave in the cool air of the night.. Naru stares into the darkness of the night in deep thought as the camera slowly pans in on her face..

Light drums infused with synthesizer high pitched calling notes are heard to provide suspense..Trees light up for a short moment in time as the Indians pass across them with there fire sticks in hand.. The Comanche tribe are very quiet and experts in there field, Naru walks just behind the stretcher and is also very quiet, Sarii whines with slight distress but is also maintaining silence, An Indian behind Naru carries a bow in his left hand. Wasape appears with several more warriors behind him, Wasape waves his fire stick across his face as he lights up a new area of the forest, A searing sound of heat is heard - A young Indian girl called Tabu walks behind Wasape.

An Indian warrior in front of the stretcher looks down and has a somber facial expression.. Puhi suddenly speaks with a painful tone, Uts'tu nu". An Indian carrying the back end of the stretcher called Huupi suddenly speaks over to another of his tribe, "Tobo'ihupiti - Huupi looks over to his left - Everyone has now stopped in there tracks as an Indian checks Puhi called Paaka, The Indian say, "Kee" as he lifts a blanket slightly up from Puhi's lower stomach torso.. Naru is standing by the Indian who checked Puhi, She quickly looks up to the Indian and say's, "The cold is good", Puhi is in distress and Paaka want's to know that he will be okay for the journey home..Drums are heard - Naru looks down at the sick Puhi and say's, "The medicine slows his blood", If he get's warm, (Naru looks to the concerned Indian called Paaka) He'll bleed out." Paaka nods his head negatively as a way to show that he does not quite believe Naru before looking down at Puhi.. Naru nudges Paaka as she say's "Hey" Paaka looks back up to Naru, Naru wants to explain that if he covers Puhi entirely with the blanket he may die, Naru is am expert in medicine and she want's Puhi to feel the cold.. Paaha looks directly at Naru with a solemn expression, Naru say's, "Do you want him to be comfortable or alive?" Flames gyrate from the fire sticks. AN Indian in the distance shouts out loudly, "Mia".. The Indian is irritable and wants to get going, The Indian that shouted begins to move off, Paaka moves off, Naru watches with interest as he does so..

A light whooshing sound is produced when the fire sticks begin to move through the cool air, Sarii watches as the Indian Comanche's move off further into the forest, Sarri whines as he suddenly turns and begins to slowly walk forward. Naru stands motionless as she watches her tribe move off. The flames disappear as the tribe ventures into the blackness. Naru turns to face Sarii as her dog companion has now caught her attention..Light drums are heard - Sarii sniffs the air and stops in his tracks a few feet away from Naru. There is something on the ground that Sarii has dicovered. Sarii whines softly once again. Naru quickly looks back to the tribe that has now disappeared into the forest before walking over to Sarii.

Insects lisp, A light scrunching from Naru's feet is heard - Naru is inquisitive as she walks on over. Sarri whines once more - Naru bends down on one knee to investigate.Sarii growls softly, Naru stares down with a hidden fear as she suddenly looks away into another world of perspective. Naru's eyes flit.. Naru has dicovered a dead rodent laying on the floor.

Crackling sound from fire stick is heard - Naru slowly stands and takes a few slow paces forward - Light scrunching of feet is heard - Naru has now discovered a very dead and skinned snake carcass. Naru bends down to examine further, The dead snake is a rattlesnake and is probably the one from earlier that was killed by the hostile predator lizard.. Flame burns intensly - Naru stares down at the strange sight unable to fathom why or how this is possible, What skins a snake like that?. Suddenly a very loud thump of high pitched sound is heard that echoes as the snake suddenly comes to live. It's tail jumps up at speed as the entire body curves around. Naru is scared witless at the scene and jumps back while shrieking from the nasty discovery. Sarii barks, Naru stands her ground as she stares at the dead rattlesnake.. The snake fizzes as it's rattle shakes for the last time.. A wet squelching sound is heard as the tail of the snake glides back before stopping. Sarii barks. Naru's eyes flit, Naru turns her head to an angle with confusion on her mind, Naru blinks, Naru stands up. Drums beat - Naru takes a few steps forward after discovering yet another clue or strange occurence.

Naru has now discovered a large footprint indented into the ground.. Whooshing of flames is heard as Naru glides the fire stick over the footprint for further inspection. Naru stares down at the large marking and is pondering on what animal could of made it, Her thinking is a large bear or maybe the cat, but why is it so big.. Soft steel drums provide the sound score.. Naru looks up as her eyes flit momentarilly from side to side..

Wooden instrument provides effects - Naru stands and slowly glides her fire stick over and up to a large tree just in front of her.. The camera slowly pans up to reveal that the tree has a large trail of blood that travels all the way up the side of the tree and into it's higher branches. Naru is bamboozled at this moment, what could cause so much blood.. Naru blinks as she looks up at the tree. Naru is so fixated with the tree she is oblivious to the presence of Wasapi and other Comanche indians who have doubled back for her.. Naru rapidly turns around as she jumps with fright from Wasape's words, "We don't have time to wait for you".. Naru quickly turns and looks down at the large footprint as she say's, "Look, Naru turns back to Wasape..

Another Indian speaks, "Could be bear tracks". (No sound score) Naru stares at the other Indian as she nods forward slightly to emphazise her opinion and say's, "Maybe" Naru looks back at the large indentation in the ground.. Naru turns back, Naru's hair sways - Naru speaks back to the Indian, "But that's a big bear". Naru turns to Wasape and say's, "And why was it on its hind legs?" Naru rapidly turns and looks down at the dead rattlesnake ad say's, "And what skins a snake like that?" Naru looks back to Wasape and waits for his thoughts..Wasape does not seem as interested as Naru as he say's, "We need to keep moving." Wasape quickly turns away from Naru - Naru speaks again as she nods her head, "No".. Wasape has made a few steps but slowly turns around from Naru's voice, "I have to warn my brother.". Naru's flame produces a whooshing sound as she quickly turns away from Wasape.. Naru believes in herself and can not be persuaded otherwise. Naru walks off into the darkness. Wasape is feeling a little strained as his facial muscles tighten, Wasape turns to Paaka and orders him to go with her for protection." Paaka go with her he say's..

Paaka stands between another Indian and Wasape as he suddenly runs off at pace from the order Wasape gave. Paaka glides his flame away from the other Indian as he passes. Drum beats are heard to provide the sound score. Both Wasape and the other indian turn there heads as they watch Paaka disappear into the darkness of the night.. Fast drum beat is heard - Wasape turns as he watches Paaka disappear. The other Indian walks off into the darkness. Wasape looks down at the dead carcass of the rattlesnake for a few seconds, Takes two steps back and momentarilly looks up at the tree that has a lot of blood covering it. Wasape takes more steps back before turning and following the other Indian.. Does Wasape believe in Naru now?

Slow and melodic drums provide the sound. All is dark as the camera slowly pans back to the spooky tree of blood. Deep synthesizer chord now plays, An animals spinal chord can be seen resting against a tree branch half way up..A strange occurence indeed. High pitched synthesizer riser of a single note becomes louder and louder to provide atmosphere..Music stops

Light rhythmic drums are now heard - Naru can be seen from a distance clambering through the terrain while flittering between trees. Her fire stick burns brightly, Naru produces a rush of speed as she ups the tempo, Fire stick produces another whooshing sound from the forces of air.. Paaka is not to far behind and is also running at speed to keep the pace and not to lose her..

Naru reaches a point in the forest where a gut reaction causes her to stop in her tracks. Scrunching of feet is heard - Light drum beats are heard - Naru takes a single step before bending down to the floor below. Naru has discovered another deep indentation in the ground as she places her index and fingers into the hole.

Fire stick rushes with energy, Naru is silent as she pulls her hand away from the hole while continuing to look at it..Low level synthesizer notes provide suspense, Naru straigtens up her body but is still intrigued. A single burning flame can be seen behind Naru not to far away..Paaka is almost visible as he makes his way to her position. Naru continues to study the ground before her.. A loud crunching of foliage is heard behind Naru which startles her. Naru instantly turns around to see what it can be.. Naru waits patiently in silence, Naru stands up slowly, Naru maintains focus, A sound of a jet infused with high pitched synthesizer note provides suspense. Naru turns her head slowly, Naru looks back and forward, Naru leans on her fett, Naru flits her eyes left to right, Blinks, Light scrunching of feet. Slow drum beats provide suspense.. Naru begins to walk forward into the night, Naru passes a large tree with her fire stick in her right hand..

Suddenly a loud tap of wood is heard - To the shock and surprise of Naru Taabe and Paaka are hiding behind the tree. Taabe grabs Naru's fire stick and takes it away from her hand. Naru quickly kneels down to the floor, Taabe whispers loudly with authority, "Naru, "We don't need the torches" Naru looks away from Paaka and directly towards Taabe from his words. A face of sheer shock lingers on her face.. A tap of wood is heard as Taabe extingusihes the flame and places the fire stick to the floor. Taabe sticks his tongue out fleetingly as he say's, They'll scare the cat." Paaka looks down at the floor, Insects lisp, No sound score - Naru looks away and into the darkness, Taabe say's, "We're in it's hunting grounds". Naru looks back to Taabe..

Taabe nods quickly and say's, Why'd you come back?", I don't think her brother appreciates her out in the dangerous wilderness especially with a dangerous cat on the loose.. Naru flits her eyes left then right as she say's, "I found tracks, and they were huge." Taabe huffs as he quickly looks away then back to Naru, Taabe say's, "I'm not frightened by a bear." Naru shakes her head and say's, "I don't think it was a bear." Naru's eyes widen with concern, Naru turns to Paaka and say's, "I don't know what it was" I 've never seen anything like it." Naru blinks several times in quick sucession. Naru continues, "It skinned and gutted a snake." Taabe looks away and slightly down as he processes the words of Naru.. Taabe nods negatively slightly and turns his head to Paaka. Nods up slightly as he say's, "We'll, whatever it was, We're in the cats den now.. "We have to deal with it first". Taabe nods up and looks at Paaka as he say's, "Come on".. Taabe looks away closes eyes fleetingly, Taabe stands up as a sound of wood from his bow is heard. Naru stares into darkness as she contemplates the situation. Naru nods forward slightly in acceptance of her brothers intentions.Naru looks up again.

All is quiet and there is no sound score - Paaka, Taabe and Naru have travelled a short distance into the forest as they attempt to locate the dangerous cat.. All three Comanche Indians are sprawled down on all fours as they slowly trangress over a patch of ground.. Scrunching is heard as they crawl at a controlled speed through the foliage.. Naru speaks as she crawls along, "The lion won't think that we're hunting it here." All three Indians stop in there tracks as Naru looks out and over into the distance. Heavy breathing is heard from the Indian warriors.. There heads bob up and down slightly as they find position.. All three look over into the distance.

The camera is blurred and slowly pans up as it reveals a plethora of broken bones from an animal of some sort.. Naru say's, "I don't think it's hunting us." Insects lisp..

All three Indian Warriors are looking over towards a large tree, Naru say's, "We get some bait, then climb up and wait for it." Paaka looks at Naru and nods his head in agreement. Paaka speaks softly, "A hunter doesn't wait, Naru looks at Paaka, Paaka blinks and looks at Naru then say's, "He hunts. Naru and Paaka look back towards the tree as Paaka say's, "We could be here all night". Naru speaks, "We could stalk the forest all night and not find anything too." Naru blinks and becomes a little irritable in her facial expression as she looks at Paaka. Paaka raises his voice ever so slightly, "If you're too afraid to hunt, go back to camp where you belong.." Taabe looks over towards Naru and Paaka. Naru lifts her head up slightly and is not to pleased with Paaka's response.. Taabe turns his head to Paaka and say's, We'll try it Naru's way. Naru looks to Taabe as she flicks her hair back slightly. Taabe continues, "Then we'll bait it, Taabe shakes his head positively towards Naru as he say's, then I'll lead the cat to you. Naru shakes her head positively now she understands the plan in action. Naru wants to initiate her "Kuhtaamia" - her rite of passage into hunting. Light scuffling is heard as Naru stands up from the moist undergrowth. Taabe quickly grabs Naru with his right hand as he say's, "Wait". Naru quickly lowers herself back to the ground next to Taabe. Naru looks at Taabe with fear and uncertainty in her eyes.. Taabe speaks, "It's time, Naru". Taabe raises his head slightly and say's, "Your Kuhtaamia". Taabe looks down as he expresses his words. Naru stares at her brother in silence. Taabe speaks again, "When the lion comes, you tell that thing, Taabe nods forward as he say's, "This is as far as you go." Taabe turns head rapidly looks back to Naru and say's, No More, (Nods forward once) This is it.." Naru agrees as she nods positively. Light synthesizer chord begins - Scuffling is heard as Taabe stands up to his feet. Naru looks back towards the tree. Veer eyes up and to an angle..Scuffling is heard as Naru rises up from the ground.

Insects lisp - The camera slowly pans downwards to reveal the terrain, patches of blood are clearly visible illuminated by the luminence of the moon. Low level synthesizer notes are heard - A bloodied shape similar to an animals bone is now visible.. (This could be the bait for the cat) A fight of some kind has definitely taken place in this vicinity.. More blood is seen and then a brown mess of flesh and hair..High pitched synthesizer note is heard - The camera continues to pan as even more flesh is seen. This pile of remains is similar to a bears face or similar animal maybe a wolf. The camera pans up to reveal a large pile of bones..This includes rib cage, skull and spinal cord..

The camera pans up to reveal Paaka climbing a large tree. A light clinking is heard as Paaka pulls and pushes up with his hands and feet. Naru has already scaled the tree and is in a sitting position on the left side. She is silent and motionless.
