Timucin Lam (born Timucin Fabian Kwong Wah Aluo; 25th July 1987), known professionally as Jax Jones, is an English DJ, songwriter, record producer and remixer. He rose to fame in 2014 by featuring on Duke Dumont's number-one single "I Got U". He followed this up with his own singles "You Don't Know Me" featuring Raye and "Instruction" featuring Demi Lovato and Stefflon Don in 2016 and 2017, respectively. Jax's debut studio album, Snacks (Supersize), was released in 2019. It was preceded by the single "One Touch" featuring Jess Glynne.

Jax was born to a Turkish father and a Chinese-Malaysian mother. His father gave him the name Timucin. After his Nigerian stepfather introduced him to afrobeat via Fela Kuti and rap with a tape of a Notorious B.I.G. album, Jax listened to hip hop, R&B, gospel and traditional African music. His Malaysian mother was into music ranging from Kylie Minogue to Luther Vandross and also influenced him. Producers like The Neptunes, Timbaland and Rodney Jerkins shaped his musical horizons and his fascination with the anatomy of a rhythm section. Having initially studied classical guitar from a young age, Jax took up beat-making at 15 after discovering Cubase on his friend's Atari. On 18 September 2020, Jax announced on his Instagram that his wife had given birth to their daughter, Lawana, and on 19 March 2023, Jax revealed that he had become a father for the second time with the birth of his second daughter Ariyah.

D.O.D. (DJ)

Dan O'Donnell (born 5 April 1995), better known as D.O.D, is a British DJ and record producer. He debuted at number 96 at the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs list. Active since 2009, D.O.D. was supported at his beginning by renowned artists such as Laidback Luke, with Mixmash Records hosting most of D.O.D.'s productions. A collaboration between him and Laidback Luke, called "Flashing Lights", was released in April 2014. D.O.D. performed at Ultra Europe in 2016. D.O.D. released "Blip" on 7 November 2016, with which he decided to define his own genre. He dubbed this new sound "Future Jack". The song was primarily characterised by its heavy electronic sounds and repetitive nature. Many of the sounds are reminiscent of a song he released earlier that year called "Taking You Back", which Afrojack worked on as well. His following releases "Don't Wait" with Tommy Trash and "Ghetto" continued this sound.

The Blackout Crew, aka The Bards of Oldham, are a donk/rap group consisting of six rap artists - Cover, Allison, Heaton, Davis, Kabbani and Chadwick - from Halliwell, Bolton, Greater Manchester. Their 2009 album peaked at No. 42 in the UK. Their album contained three singles: "Bbbounce", "Put a Donk on It", and "Dialled". The lines "You know what you wanna do with that, right? You wanna put a bangin' donk on it" was frequently been used in the opening of the BBC Radio 2/BBC Radio 6 Music programme Radcliffe & Maconie, being generally favoured by Mark Radcliffe. Blackout Crew worked with electronic group Metronomy to provide a B-side remix for their 2008 single "A Thing for Me". In 2023, Jax jones has released a new song Won’t Forget You with D.O.D and Ina Wroldsen, with a new version featuring Kurtis Chadwick aka MC Viper, Jordan Cover, aka MC Cover, and Luke Purall aka MC Lukey from the newly reformed Blackout Crew, which as of the 12th of November 2023 sits at number 28 in the UK top 40 singles charts.

Charlotte de Witte (born 21 July 1992) is a Belgian DJ and record producer, best known for her "dark and stripped-back" brand of acid techno and minimal techno. She has previously performed under the alias Raving George. She is the founder of the label KNTXT. de Witte was born in Ghent, Belgium on 21 July 1992. Around 2009, she started to explore Ghent's underground nightclub scene, where she was drawn to electronic music. She started DJing in 2010, mainly playing electro music; her production work commenced about two years later. Winning a Studio Brussel DJ contest in 2011, she subsequently performed at the Tomorrowland festival. She adopted the alias Raving George to avoid negative preconceptions against female DJs, releasing her debut EP in 2013. Following the release of a string of EPs on Bad Life and Crux Records, her 2015 single "You're Mine," which featured Oscar and the Wolf, became a hit.

117332878_3631228083555600_8161895008663334621_n.jpg

In 2015, de Witte dropped her alias and started using her real name. This was accompanied by a change in her music style from previously electro and electro house more in the direction of techno. She cites a set by German Techno DJ Len Faki that she heard at a festival as the origin of this stylistic change. Her debut EP under her name, Weltschmerz, was released on the same year on Turbo Recordings. This was followed by a string of 2017 EPs, as well as 2018's Heart of Mine and The Healer EPs. de Witte has performed at various notable electronic music events, including Junction 2 Festival, Boiler Room and Printworks.

In 2019, she launched her own label, KNTXT. Artists such as Chris Liebing, Monoloc, or Alignment have released works under KNTXT. In the same year, she was voted the world's best techno DJ at the DJ Awards. Since 2019, she has advanced to one of the most acclaimed DJ's in techno, winning notable awards in the industry and earning her the nickname "techno queen". On February 5, 2021, de Witte announced via social media her engagement to Italian techno DJ and producer Enrico Sangiuliano. Later that year, the couple released their first joint record, a remix of the 1990 Italian-Belgian trance song "The Age of Love". The remix became a hit, topping of Beatport's 2021 techno bestsellers list and receiving a gold record in 2022 for over 500,000 units sold. The couple got married in 2022.

Sean McCabe

McCabe made his name in house, developing a long-running relationship with legendary US garage label King Street Sounds and remixing the likes of Dennis Ferrer, Evelyn Champagne King, Roy Ayers, Blaze, and Todd Terry. Since then, he’s amassed an impressive discography, delivering inspired reworks for labels like Z Records, Local Talk, Strictly Rhythm, Vega Records, Tribe, and Quantize. A quick listen to any of his productions or one of his superb DJ sets will confirm this attractive, emotion-rich aesthetic. While rooted in house, his sound regularly takes on flavours of disco, boogie, Afro, deeper grooves, proto-house, ‘90s garage-house dubs and much more besides. As a DJ, he has forged a reputation at the legendary Southport Weekender, where he has performed regularly. Anyone who can impress the notoriously knowledgeable Southport Weekender crowd must be doing something right. Sean has travelled the world as a DJ, playing as far afield as Asia, South Africa, and the United States, as well as regular appearances across Europe and the UK. Refreshingly, he seems to have no particular aspirations to play in gargantuan clubs, and admits to preferring gigs in small, intimate venues, where he can make a connection with the crowd. As a producer, McCabe is constantly learning and evolving, taking his sound in different directions. He admits to a love of vintage synthesizers – picked up from listening to classic New York boogie and ‘80s soul. With an album on the horizon and notable collaborations with the likes of Karizma, Nathan Adams, and Groove Assassin, his reputation continues to rise.

In 2012, Emi Kusano was watching reruns of the 1980s Japanese comedy series Magical Girl Chukan Paipai! (魔法少女ちゅうかなぱいぱい!, Mahō Shōjo Chūkana Paipai!), which inspired her to write songs and create a musical project. A mutual friend at her university introduced her to BelleMaison Sekine. One year later, Kusano sent Sekine an a cappella demo of her song "Jack Doushi", which eventually became Satellite Young's debut single in 2014. Tele Hideo joined the duo in 2015 as a "media technologist", handling the production of the band's music videos and sometimes appearing on stage as a dancer or drummer. Now a trio, Satellite Young released their first EP and music video "Dividual Heart".

Satellite Young (サテライトヤング, Sateraito Yangu) is a Japanese synthwave band founded by Emi Kusano and BelleMaison Sekine in 2013. Their music and style are influenced by classic J-pop artists such as Pink Lady, Minako Honda, Chisato Moritaka, Yoko Minamino, Yū Hayami, and Seiko Matsuda, as well as synthwave and new-age artists such as Jan Hammer, Cusco, and Tangerine Dream.
