Slay
From being at the forefront of the Manchester Grime glory days to establishing himself as one of the most in-demand D&B MCs in the game, Slay has been intrinsic to The Manchester Sound. Hailing from the era of tape packs, youth club sets and local MC crews, Slay’s emergence into the grime genre wasn’t unusual, but his clarity, intelligent wordplay and signature sound soon set him above many. A member of Manchester’s leading and legendary collective Mayhem Crew, with Shifty, Remdog and others, Slay (or Slayer as he was better known back then) quickly became heard across the UK. After entering a competition, Mayhem Crew members Slay, Shifty, and his younger cousin Blizzard (who also produced the beat) released ‘We’re Big Like EA’ on Channel U and represented Manchester in a big way.

Conrad Thompson (16 April 1972 – 30 April 2024), known professionally as MC Conrad, was a British vocalist, MC, and music producer. His career, spanning over three decades, was marked by a distinctive style that blended elements of jazz, hip hop, and soul with drum and bass. Conrad Thompson was born in Northampton, England. Thompson was influenced by his early exposure to music from his father's record collection of ska, rocksteady, bluebeat, and reggae. He first gained attention in the local breakdancing scene during the 1980s. Thompson started in the UK hip hop scene but shifted towards rave and drum and bass as the genres began to gain momentum in the early 90s. Thompson partnered and collaborated with LTJ Bukem, which lead to the establishment of Good Looking Records in 1991. Thompson would also launch his own label, Resonance, in 2020. In 2010, Thompson moved to Birmingham, where he became an integral part of the community. He spoke warmly of Birmingham's spirit and diversity. Later in life, he reconnected with his father, a notable figure in the city's Caribbean community. Thompson died on 30 April 2024, aged 52.
In honour of Thompson's legacy and commitment to nurturing young talent, the MC Conrad Foundation was established in June 2024. The foundation aims to support young and emerging artists within the challenging landscape of the music industry.

Finally, make music for yourself and your fans… and not “for other music producers”. You can easily fall into an endless production trap of not getting anything done because you’re too concerned with compressors, mixing, etc. Audio engineering takes years to master, so just create music in any way that you can. Mixing and mastering are my absolute weak points, and I’m trying to get better everyday… but I don’t let that interfere with my creative process because I wouldn’t get anything done.
My relationship with music production started at a young age, and I attribute this to three pieces of software: fast tracker, rebirth, and reason. I remember opening fast tracker for the first time and listening to some songs, and being blown away by the sound. I was especially excited to learn that I didn’t need anything crazy or expensive to make my own songs; I could just use the tracker software and some samples. When I wanted to make my own samples, I’d just load up rebirth or reason and mess around with creating different sounds. My personal musical interests haven’t really evolved over the years. It’s crazy to think that I’ve been listening to the same artists for almost my entire life. Not just because their songs are timeless, but because they evoke so many good memories of family and friends. They are specific memories too… For example, if I play the Trans-Central Connection compilation album… I’m instantly brought back to driving around Chicago in the late 90s with my brother, visiting Tower Records, and buying whatever new idm or jungle CD that was out. Music helps me to never forget, and if I’m feeling down… I can put on a favorite track and zone out to vivid memories.

Defining a new era of liquid D&B, they flow between exquisite vocal melodies and high octane productions, creating the innovative and unique sound they’ve become known for. Comprised of longtime friends Josh White and Matt Lowe, the boys work across everything together from studios at opposite ends of the country, taking in both their influences from all ends of the musical spectrum to create smooth sounding, yet addictively danceable tracks that are every bit as relevant for a main stage festival slot as they are at a late night afterparty. Ever since their inception back in 2011, the boys have received plaudits for their musical output,

Singularity
Singularity · Jerico Xingularity: Beyond the Ultrafunk

Singularity is a 2010 first-person shooter survival horror video game developed by Raven Software and published by Activision and released for Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It is built on Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3.
Singularity is a first-person shooter with horror elements. A main gameplay device is an artifact known as the Time Manipulation Device (TMD). The TMD is powered by an E-99 core, and can manipulate time. The TMD can move an object backwards or forwards in time, attract something and hold it indefinitely, or send a pulse of energy that can stun or kill enemies. The TMD can only affect living beings or objects that have been in contact with E-99. Some living beings, like the Spetsnaz troops who are covered in heavy armor designed to repel E-99, are immune as well.
The TMD can be used in conjunction with special power stations scattered across the island that greatly amplify its power, allowing it to affect objects much larger than it can normally control such as collapsed bridges or shipwrecks.
