Planet Funk - Feel EveryThing ( Official Music Video )
Planet Funk is an Italian electronic band. The group is composed of Marco Baroni, Alex Neri, Dan Black, Sally Doherty and formerly Sergio Della Monica and Domenico "Gigi" Canu. In addition, a number of guest vocalists joined the group including: Auli Kokko, Raiz, John Graham, Giuliano Sangiorgi and Alex Uhlmann.
Their first single, "Chase the Sun", reached number five on the UK Singles Chart in 2001. The melody is borrowed from Ennio Morricone's tune "Alla Luce Del Giorno", off the score of the 1969 film Metti, una sera a cena. The song has enjoyed a rise in popularity ever since Sky Sports began using it during its coverage of the Professional Darts Corporation's major tournaments. The crowds in the venues are encouraged to chant and rave to the song during the advert breaks of matches, and the song has a cult following amongst darts fans. The song is also known to be chanted by supporters at the games of Australian football clubs Newcastle Jets and Adelaide United, as well as being the second half opening theme for the English Football League Championship team, Sheffield Wednesday. English Championship Football team Reading also use the song after they score a goal. Conference side Gateshead play this song at the end of a game, which results in a "Heed Heed Heed" chant along to the beat. English Super League team Wigan Warriors are known to use the song following a successful drop-kick. The Melbourne spring racing carnival used the song during promotional TV advertisements during the mid- to late 2000s. AFC Bournemouth also used the chant for their now former striker Brett Pitman.

LEISURE - Missing You (Live at Taliesin West)
LEISURE - Missing You (Live at Taliesin West)

Upon confirming my trip to Scottsdale, Arizona I began researching what art, design, and architecture I could experience while in the Southwest. I was excited to learn of Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West, a National Historic Landmark which was once Wright's cherished winter home. Established in 1937, this 620 acres desert oasis was built and maintained almost entirely by Wright and his apprentices. This magical place is said to be "among the most personal of the architect’s creations." It is currently the home of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and Taliesin, the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture.

Frank Lloyd Wright revolutionized American architecture. Before him, the pinnacle of luxury was owning a European-inspired home: think French Empire, Italianate, and Gothic revival. Wright, who began working as a draftsman in 1887, changed all of that with his designs, which today look delightfully retro. Throughout his seven-decade-long career, he designed more than 1,000 buildings. Today, he’s recognized as one of the most accomplished architects of all time. Although he created a number of famous public buildings, such as New York City’s Guggenheim Museum, Wright primarily worked with private homeowners to create the homes of their dreams—and his too.

Having purchased several hundred acres of land in the then rural foothills of northeast Scottsdale, Wright began to conceive of a desert utopia comprised of low-slung buildings designed to reflect the sweeping expansiveness of the desert. Always in favor of local materials, Wright would construct Taliesin West largely of “desert masonry”: local rock set in wooden forms and bound by a mixture of cement and desert sand. In so doing, Wright hoped to preserve as much of the desert environment as possible by embedding his structures within the landscape. Canvas roofs bathe the interior spaces with light, while redwood beams provide Wright’s favored Cherokee red accents. Over the years, the complex was continually altered and expanded, eventually including a drafting studio, dining facilities, three theaters, a workshop, Wright’s office and private living quarters, and residences for apprentices and staff. Each building is connected through a series of walkways, terraces, pools and gardens. Wright designed all of the interior furniture and decorations, the majority of which were made on site by the apprentices.
Wright would continue to spend winter in Arizona until his death in 1959. As the buildings of Taliesin West took on greater permanence, steel and fiberglass replaced the less durable materials. Life in the desert was active. The Fellowship’s hands-on architectural education was complimented by an active calendar of lectures, evening entertainment, concerts and theatrical performances. Taliesin West continues to serve as the vibrant home of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. A small number of the Legacy Fellows who lived and worked with Wright continue to live on the grounds.

Craven Faults - Far Closes (Official Video)

In January 2020 Craven Faults released his debut album Erratics & Unconformities, beginning a relationship with Yorkshire-based label The Leaf Label. The Line of Best Fit called the album a "tour-de-force". Live Works was released in September 2020. The first three tracks were released digitally in 2020, and followed up with a limited 4 track vinyl release in 2022. In May 2023 Craven Faults released his second full-length album Standers, also on The Leaf Label, which Loud and Quiet heralded as a "hypnotic, idiosyncratic gem".
Craven Faults is a British electronic artist and producer known for combining analogue synthesizers, electronics and field recordings to create music that draws from ambient music, Krautrock and electronica. The name is taken from the Craven Fault System in the Pennines and much of his music draws inspiration from the landscapes of Yorkshire, where he resides. Little is known about the enigmatic Craven Faults. He emerged with the release of Netherfield Works on the Lowfold Works label in 2017, followed by Springhead Works and Nunroyd Works in 2019. The pieces on these EPs range from seven to seventeen minutes in length and establish a signature sound of long-form, often hypnotic instrumental works. Later in 2019 he released Lowfold Works Trilogy (a collections of these three EPs) and Lowfold Reworks, made up of three remixes of tracks from these EPs. Lowfold Works Trilogy was later released as a vinyl box set in 2022.

Sarah Kinsley - Lonely Touch (Official Music Video)

Kinsley was born in 2000 in Mountain View, California, where she lived for the first five months of her life. She grew up in a small town in Connecticut and is of Chinese-American descent. On the presence of music in her early life, Kinsley said: "it was just everything. It was always there. I think that was part of the reason why I had to do music, in some form. At some point, it just became inseparable from life." As a child, Kinsley trained in classical piano and violin and performed in youth orchestras, where she earned a reputation for emotional performances. In middle school, Kinsley and her family moved to Singapore, where she attended an international school. Kinsley has cited her classical training as an important factor for her song production process. As a teenager, she began a journey into pop music, posting song covers of artists including Justin Bieber and Julia Michaels to Instagram. Kinsley was initially shy about her singing voice but found validation from the positive response to her videos.

Kinsley eventually moved to New York City. Years after she had attended the school in Singapore, she was contacted by former classmate Luc Bradford, who had become a music producer under the name Ford. He had seen her music covers online and reached out to make a song with Kinsley, and the pair released the song "Craving". She wrote the lyrics and Ford produced it, and after releasing it, Kinsley said that although it gave her good contacts in the music industry, she received "twisted" compliments since she was just a feature on the song, with no input into the production. It then inspired her to learn music production. Kinsley studied music theory at Columbia University, and as part of her assignments, she was expected to produce and record songs, which she also released publicly. She revealed that after she submitted her 2021 single "Over + Under" for an assignment, she received a good grade in that class. Additionally, she was a member of Nonsequitur A Cappella. While studying at Columbia, Kinsley often experienced male classmates speaking over her and found it to be a male-geared environment. She explained that the music industry needs to "recognise and amplify female producers" such as herself. Kinsley met fellow musician Jane Paknia at Columbia; the two performed live together at the time, and toured the US and Europe later.

Sunniva Lindgård, better known as Sassy 009, is a Scandinavian musician originally from Oslo, Norway. The name Sassy 009 comes from Lindgård's SoundCloud username. Contrary to the dominant narrative, Sassy 009 did not begin as a trio. Before she released anything, it was Lindgård's online display name on SoundCloud and her nickname at school. The three-piece line-up with classmates Teodora GeorgijeviÄ and Johanna Scheie Orellana formed to play that material live, which was when the project really kicked off, but both left before the release of KILL SASSY 009. As a trio, they released one EP together, titled Do You Mind, in 2017. In May 2018, the trio was featured as The Guardian's "Ones to Watch". In August 2019, a new song titled "Thrasher" was released. In October 2019, The Fader premiered a new song from Sassy 009, stating that Lindgård is the only member currently involved in the project.

Felsmann + Tiley
How long can an artist with an instantly recognizable sound stay anonymous? For years, apparently. Take Felsmann + Tiley’s reinterpretation of M83’s ‘Solitude’, a track that has over 200 million streams to date. Very few of those listeners know the evolution of the German producer-duo’s drumless synthwave melding Cliff Martinez-style maximum emotional impact with Nils Frahm’s neoclassical minimalism. Slated for release in February 2026, their upcoming album ‘Protomensch’ is an audiovisual statement on the absurdity of modern existence.

The Kite String Tangle (also known as TKST) is the solo project of Australian, Brisbane-based alternative electronic artist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Danny Harley. Harley launched the project in 2012 and released an EP titled Vessel in 2014. He has since issued four studio albums: The Kite String Tangle in 2017, The Kite String Tangle Presents: In a Desperate Moment in 2018, C()D3X in 2020, and Lustre in 2023.

Memory · Felsmann + Tiley
Having met by happenstance in 2003 on a German music production forum, Felsmann + Tiley soon discovered they shared a lot more than their hometown of Stuttgart. “We were attracted to the depth and melancholy of trance pads and breakdowns that always had a certain darkness to them.” Their 12-inch ‘Kamui – Ghosts’ was the start of a string of highly energetic club sound releases, reflecting their youth at the time. And then from 2006 onwards, they also started touring and doing DJ gigs around the world.
After a five year creative break, Felsmann + Tiley was formed in 2017. “We were having a conversation over the phone and said: Let’s try something new and mix what we like best about electronic, neo-classical and film music, and give ourselves the conceptual constraint of not using drums and percussions and see what happens.” What started off as a pitch deck full of big ideas and even bigger visions would take eight years to grow into an ambitious, all-out artistic vision involving immersive live experiences and a social commentary on the current state of the world.
