His musical style is a mixture of lo-fi synth pop in combination with off-kilter, quirky, often intelligent, often hilariously naïve and self-concious storytelling lyrics, that sometimes border with novelty songs.

In his vocal performance, pitch correctness and proper singing apparently is unimportant, resulting into a strange mix of lo-fi synth pop, schlager and surrealistic chansons, with unusual chord changes and infectious, catchy melodies.

His musical influences range from Der Plan to Brian Wilson, his current work is reminiscent of 60s pop, in particular the heavily textured 'wall of sound' of Phil Spector.Due to his unique and quirky nature, Dorau enjoys a cult following.

[Instrumental Intro]

[Refrain]
45 Lux, then the computer turns on
45 Lux, the night in the lantern

[Stanza 1]
Strudlhofstiege in the lantern light
Artificially, a different face shines
Wrapped in grey, every house sinks
The city so blue, the streets too

[Refrain]
45 Lux, then the computer turns on
45 Lux, the night in the lantern

[Stanza 2]
Pale light, throws a faint glow
When the day goes out and the night breaks in

[Refrain]
45 Lux, then the computer turns on
45 Lux, the night in the LatN

[Bridge]
Fahles Licht casts a faint glow
When the day goes out and the night breaks in
Strudlhofstiege, figures in the light
The city appears in the new face

[Instrumental]

The band is Your Neighbors, just a few LA guys trying to make it big in the music industry. Led by Walker Robinson, the band’s Spotify description reads, “From Dad rock to hip hop, he hopes to find a foothold in the music world by throwing anything and everything at the wall and hoping something will stick.” Come on, how funny is that? You gotta give it to him, he has drive. I think they are far beyond the recognition they’re receiving. Their most streamed song on Spotify has only 10,000,000 streams. It sounds like a lot, but in the music world, that’s still unrecognized. There’s also an 8 million stream difference between their first and second most streamed songs, meaning that everyone really only knows one song, if any at all.

Your Neighbors formed in October 1991 and began playing shows around Northwest Indiana. Front Porch Music in Valparaiso was very supportive of the band in the early years. Their first cassette, Fish Opera, was released in 1992. In 1993, the bad released another cassette, Bi-Phase, and then later re-released this album on CD. During this time, the band held self-promoted shows in Valparaiso, and began performing in Chicago, and throughout central Indiana and Illinois. In 1995, the group was signed to Street Gold Records, an independent label run by Henry Farag, vocalist in the acapella doo-wop group Stormy Weather, and his brother Omar Farag, a local concert promoter.

Your Neighbors recorded their second full-length album, Roswell at Blue Star Studios in Gary, Indiana. In 1996, the group disbanded, and its members went to work on individual projects.  Bob Bihlman performed with The Fireshow, Indoor Boy, Annie Quick, Land of Lincoln, among others.  Drake Blinco formed the group Long Division which also included Bob Bihlman on drums; he is currently a member of Honda Pavarotti.  George T. Drag moved to Atlanta, Georgia and was a member of Butterflies and is still working with Bryan Cilliberto under the band name Tux.  Mark Cassello recorded three unreleased solo records with members of The DeMilos, Indoor Boy, and other Chicago-area musicians.

[Lyrics to "Like"]

[Chorus: Ale Sergi, Juliana Gattas & TINI]
When you're with me, I like everything
Sometimes I get dizzy and that scares me
You know I'm watching you today, and I'll tell you
With me I need you

[Verse 1: Ale Sergi & TINI]
My life (My life), what would I give (What would I give)
By dawn together' every day (Every day)
What irony (What irony), I came (I came)
To tell you how much I loved you

[Verse 2: TINI]
As sweet as a Tic-Tac, rich as a six pack
I saw you on the street walking on a zigzag, wow
Sounds "baum-baum-baum", I heard your heart
I like you more than the mouse cat

[Chorus: Ale Sergi, Juliana Gattas & TINI]
When you're with me, I like everything
Sometimes I get dizzy and that scares me
You know I'm watching you today, and I'll tell you
With me I need you

[Post-Choir: TINI]
I like it
I like it
I like it
I like it

[Verse 3: Juliana Gattas]
I love you so much that I don't even think about myself
I want every part of you so much
I love you so much and I can't hide it
Being with you I like

I like how oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh
I want to do to you what is already tradition
I like how oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh
We combine your mouth with my gloss

When you're with me, I like everything
Sometimes I get dizzy and that scares me

[Lyrics to "No Solution"]

[Verse 1: Leo Rizzi & Juliana Gattas]
How's everything going?
We haven't talked about who we are for a while
And that makes us so bad
I know you don't care
Honestly
Something changed and now it's all different
We want to start again
Or just abandon

[Chorus: Leo Rizzi & Juliana Gattas]
And now it's you and me
Every corner of the room
Speaking to us in a toxic way
Cynical, super problematic
Without looking for a solution
And now it's you and me
Every corner of the room
Speaking to us in a toxic way
Cynical, super problematic
Without looking for a solution

[Verse 2: Juliana Gattas]
It costs me so much
Spend the day and night pretending
When I'm asked about yourself
It doesn't come to smile anymore
We both know well that it doesn't give anymore
That we're stretching the end
I have always given you the best of me
And despite everything we end up like this

[Chorus: Leo Rizzi & Juliana Gattas]
And now it's you and me
Every corner of the room
Speaking to us in a toxic way
Cynical, super problematic
Without looking for a solution (without looking for a solution)
And now it's you and me
Every corner of the room
Speaking to us in a toxic way
Cynical, super problematic
Without looking for a solution

[Outro: Leo Rizzi & Ale Sergi]
You and me
You and me
You and me
Without looking for a solution
You and me
You and me
You and me
Without looking for a solution

[Words of "Playing"]

[Couple 1]
Play
Getting trapped by the day
Play
To dizzy with love
In all nonchalance
Half-turn in childhood
Play
To go beyond the contours
Play
Laughing to make yourself deaf
A foot in the avalanche
As a gentle resistance

[Chorus]
The more we exhaust ourselves at the work
The more we desert the beaches
The more we leave our skin
Our capes and our ideals
The more we exhaust ourselves at the work
The more we desert the beaches
The more we leave our skin
Our dreams еt our ideals

[Couple 2]
Play
No matter how much
Play
No more staying in your corner
We are just the characters
A work that has no age
That the characters
A work that has no age

[Chorus]
The more we exhaust ourselves at the work
The more we desert the beaches
The more we leave our skin
Our capes and our ideals
The more we exhaust ourselves at the work
The more we desert the beaches
The more we leave our skin
Our dreams and our ideals

[Post-chorus]
Fighting fire through play
Fighting fire through play
Fighting fire through play
Fighting fire through play

[[Outro]
Fighting fire by gambling (Our Recreation Society is sad to die from it)
Fighting fire by the game (She plays to forget not to have fun)
Fighting fire by gambling (Our Recreation Society is sad to die from it)
Fighting fire by the game (She plays to forget not to have fun)

In 2004, Moffatt met French rock musician Matthieu Chedid at Montreal's FrancoFolies music and performance festival. She subsequently remixed Chedid's "La Bonne Étoile" (from his 2003 album Qui de nous deux) as a virtual duet. Her version of the popular song received wide airplay in France and helped introduce her to French music fans. The track was scheduled to be included on a future re-release of Aquanaute.

[Words of "Love, Danger"]

[Couple 1]
I find it dangerous
This state of love
The threat that hangs
In mute
In your eyes

[Pre-Chorus]
I can already feel your claws
On my heart
Horizon of misfortune
Hidden under my thighs
There's fear
(Fear of happiness)

[Chorus]
Love, danger
Forever intertwined
Love, danger
The dice are played
Love, danger
Forever intertwined
Love the danger
In perpetuity

[Couple 2]
Fear of whom, fear of what
Deep down I'm afraid of myself
The Promise of the Drama
The bouquet in the flames

[Pre-Chorus]
I can already feel your claws
On my heart
Horizon of misfortune
Hidden under my thighs
There's fear
(Fear of happiness)

[Chorus]
Love, danger
Forever intertwined
Love the danger

Love, danger
Forever intertwined
Love the danger
In perpetuity

Luna Wielgomas born Aleksandra Katarzyna Wielgomas, 28th August 1999), known professionally as Luna (stylised in all caps), is a Polish singer and songwriter. She represented Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the song "The Tower".
Wielgomas is interested in astrology, philosophy, art, ecology, and fashion. She cites Nick Cave and Björk as her "biggest inspirations". In an interview with Radosław Pulkowski from the K-Mag magazine in December 2020, she indicated nature as her inspiration, in particular the connections between the micro and macro worlds, which she sees in them. She is also fascinated by poetry, particularly the work of Bolesław Leśmian. Wielgomas has stated that "Luna" is her alter ego, which is "full of secrets and magic". She adopted the nickname "Luna", because it means the Moon from Latin, which great influence she observes in her life. She added that the nickname is also related to her sleepwalking. In October 2024, she changed her legal name to Luna Wielgomas.

Luna describes her music as emotionally characterized. It has repeatedly been depicted as mysterious and she describes her sound as "cosmic pop".

I started out actually doing video editing using a software called Sony Vegas, and at some point I decided I wanted to try out making music, so I initially used video software to produce in! Very long and tedious way of producing but it was the software I knew at the time, so I’d just drag the samples (kick snare etc) into the video timeline 👀

My name is actually when I set up my YouTube channel, I just chose a simple word I like which happened to be glue, and then the first available round number (which was 70) so it’s not actually that interesting aha.

I just channel a certain vibe / emotion when I make those kinds of songs and it's hard to put my finger on what exactly this is aha, probably not a very helpful answer but I honestly don't know what the trick is! It's just a sound that resonates with me

Whitney Mower

Named after the 1988 John Carpenter sci-fi/action film, Whitney Mower’s new project They/Live pays homage to artists of that era (like Kate Bush and Cocteau Twins ) while weaving in sounds, themes, and a powerful female perspective very much rooted in the present (think Grimes, Juana Molina, The Knife). Using ethereal synth lines, intricate drum patterns, and haunting vocal layers, Mower builds complex dystopic scenes. In They/Live’s universe, a vulnerable female character finds power and offers hope despite the ominous landscape of the future, despite the pain of an oppressive past—her precise soprano voice urges, “Yes I know the pleasure’s not enough . . . if you let me I’ll lift you out of the darkness.”

The group has been described as synthpop, and they have cited Grimes, Chairlift, St. Vincent, and Charli XCX as influences. Tenenbaum has also called Fiona Apple her biggest songwriting influence. After the release of Imaginal Disk, Lewin said, "I think what would be a positive thing is if we start to be seen less as a pop group and more like an 'alternative' group. Paste described them as "a pop act with a rockist core", featuring progressive rock, shoegaze and disco influences. Lewin and Tenenbaum independently listened to progressive rock and classic rock growing up. Lewin admitted to "making fun of people for liking popular music." He shared these influences with Tenenbaum once they met.

It feels as though we are in an era where creatives are expected to stick to their lane with little to no deviation, think of all the scrutiny you see big names in the music industry get when they move from one genre to another or think of the ridicule celebrities in other fields have faced whenever they’ve tackled a new venture that is seen as out of their reach. Sometimes these skeptics can come from a valid position but often this can be unfairly dismissive of the final product and ultimately; it misses the point of the creative nature artists are born with.

Micah Dailey-White first came onto the scene via his short comedic skits on tiktok, the dynamite sense of humor he displayed along with the persona he built up led to a massively successful 2024 where his growth kept going and going up to the point of reaching millions of followers across his platforms. however given what followed, it’d be natural to think this was a mere set up for a new career as in the middle of that year he dropped his self titled album, “Micah”.

She has released two studio albums, Strangers / Lovers (2020) and Elle (2024), and one EP, Ultraviolet (2016). Florence Ellen Arnold (born 28th December 1988), better known as Florrie, is an English pop singer-songwriter, drummer and model. Closely associated with the Xenomania production house, since joining as their in-house drummer in 2008 she has played live and on record for popular artists such as Kylie Minogue, Girls Aloud and the Pet Shop Boys.  Florrie was born Florence Arnold on 28 December 1988 in Bristol, where she attended Colston's Girls' School. She left school at 17. She became interested in playing the drums when she was in Greece on a family holiday at age six. As a teenager she started her own band called Fi Fi Saloon, which performed Avril Lavigne covers and original songs she described as "really trash, punky girl rock-pop". She moved to London when she was 17 years old and gigged with several bands including Selfservice, who signed a development deal with songwriter Guy Chambers. Florrie performed with Selfservice at night and worked part-time as a nanny during the day. A meeting with the manager of Australian singer Gabriella Cilmi led Florrie to a successful audition as the drummer in the houseband of Xenomania, the successful Kent-based production team. Prior to joining Xenomania, she worked at GAP and quit as soon as she was offered a job as a professional drummer.
