Cannons are an American indie pop band formed in 2013 in Los Angeles. The band consists of lead vocalist Michelle Joy, lead guitarist Ryan Clapham, and keyboardist and bass guitarist Paul Davis.  Ryan Clapham and Paul Davis, who have been friends since childhood, began composing music together in their teenage years. In 2013, Clapham and Davis formed Cannons with Michelle Joy after meeting her through the website Craigslist, where she had posted an advertisement seeking a band in need of a vocalist. The trio collaborated on early Cannons material over the Internet, with Clapham and Davis emailing musical tracks to Joy, who would then email back her own lyrical and vocal contributions.

Fly By Midnight has taken the music industry by storm, and continuously crafted their own unique blend of indie-pop anthems and hit singles including “Nothing New”, and “In the Night.” Hailing from New York but now based in sunny Los Angeles, the musical duo is composed of Justin Bryte and Slavo. Both songwriters, producers, and multi-instrumentalists in their own right, Justin and Slavo have also added creative directors to their resume. They both produce, direct, and star in all of their own music videos and other visual content on their platforms.

Per their name, both artists spend endless late nights in the studio literally flying by midnight. Doing what they love on the daily, Fly By Midnight have shut down stages all around the globe, displaying their charming personalities while spreading and exuding much-needed good energy.

Having met one another in the studio through writing a few years back, the best friends haven’t looked back since. Justin states, “At the end of the day, this is what people know us for. Not only are we artists and songwriters, we’re brothers. We’re growing it everyday.”

Casket Cassette, the brainchild of Constant Williams, a native of Los Angeles and a multifaceted artist combining music and poetry, mirrors the city’s stark contrast between industrial grit and perpetual sunshine. This solo venture encapsulates a juxtaposition of euphoria and melancholy, conveying existential despair with a contemporary twist on the synthetic, brooding sounds of the 1980s. The illusion of separation lingers, yet nothing truly departs. What we call gone is but a trick of perception, a ripple on the surface of something vast and unbroken. Time stretches, the weight of absence pressing down, yet the essence remains…untouched, unyielding. To sever is futile; that which once lived in love cannot be cut away.

Hailed by Lauren Laverne as "the best thing I've heard all year" and described as "Mike Skinner spliced with Simon Armitage" - his track 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Fallacy' spent 4 weeks on the 6 Music B-list, as well as being featured on Jack Saunders' 'Future Artists' show on Radio 1. The same track also bagged the high score on Steve Lamacq's legendary Round Table. “Since I’m Korean and I sing in Korean, I think it’s fair to define my music as K-pop,” The Deep explains, pointing to how her songs often incorporate elements of multiple genres like K-pop. “[But] K-pop is very polished, it’s perfectionism in a way, and I’m very DIY. I design a lot of my stuff, come up with all of my creative directions, do a lot of mixing, and edit and shoot my videos.

The Deep: When I was a student, I actually majored in visual design, not music. Since high school, my dream was to be a singer, but I didn’t know how to achieve that. Later, I went to a vocal training academy for about four months. There, I realised there was a way to achieve my dream. So, I only completed my first semester at university, and moved to Seoul to start making music.

Around four or five years ago, I found UK garage and released my first song, ‘Mwah’. It did pretty well and I thought, ‘music with vocals over electronic beats, this is the sound I want to go and pursue as The Deep’. Then, after [K-pop five-piece] NewJeans debuted, it really helped my career because the sounds are kind of similar. Rosie May Hudson-Edmonds was born on 31 December 1996 in a paddling pool in her parents' flat in Muswell Hill, in the London Borough of Haringey. Gray has stated that her love for music was inspired by her mother and stepfather, who are both actors. As a child, her stepfather encouraged her to work on music with him. Aged 14, she reached the final of Open Mic UK 2010. She then signed to a record label and wrote over 100 songs for them. However, she decided she wanted to leave, but was unable to keep any of her original music. Gray then became immersed in London's nightlife and briefly worked on the door at Fabric. After a brief period of not making music, Gray began slowly releasing singles and writing for other artists. She released "Good Life", her debut single, in 2019.

Rhythm* Pocket!: 「Dorephin Shopping Center」 | Lionclad

rp_hotelroom_05_LowRes.jpg

Hello! I’m Lionclad. I’m happy to be able to continue the Rhythm Pocket series.

For this 「Hotel Room (Rhythm*Pocket! Remix)」 I worked to create a more expansive, intuitive, and rich sound from the sampler. I started the build focusing on the gothic sound I enjoyed playing with during my emo kid days, which completed the remix.

I added the MPC key37 and used it as a MIDI controller and effects processor by adding input effects to the Prophet sound. I spent a lot of time thinking about how to express the synthesizer’s octave-up section. Since continuously recording each measure on the looper felt like giving away spoilers, and it extended the arrangement, I ended up using the looper’s built-in transpose effect. Pressing it with my foot immediately raises the octave. It might feel a bit distorted, but that’s part of the charm of a live performance!

I also devised a setup to activate the sidechain function that powerfully pushes the kick. Initially, I configured the RC-600, with its limiter dynamics, by placing the bass and synthesizer in inst 1 and the drums and samplers in inst 2. I set it up so that only inst 1 was routed for effects, looping, and recording. So inst 2 passes through, and only inst 1 is activated! It seems simple, but it took a lot of thought to come up with this setup. I’m happy the sidechain compresses nicely. Even though precise adjustments are challenging, it delivers the desired feel.

It’s really fun making music while studying! The process of materializing ideas is exciting, and unexpected sketches or tracks emerge during this process. That must be the charm of live arrangement.

Evan Campbell (born May 30, 1997), known professionally as Kettama (stylised in all caps), is an Irish electronic music producer and DJ. He has often performed and released music under collaborative aliases, such as Samba Boys with Tommy Holohan, and the portmanteau KETBOI69 with Partiboi69. Campbell was born in Galway, Ireland. Six months later, he downloaded a cracked version of FL Studio and began uploading his tracks to SoundCloud.

Bruce was born in 1993 in Blackburn to a half-Singaporean mother. As a child, Bruce briefly lived in Liverpool before moving to Bolton, Greater Manchester. Bruce began DJing and producing around 2012 while studying at the School of Sound Recording, producing dark breakbeat records. He begun producing lo-fi house after moving to Leeds, inspired by artists like Mall Grab and DJ Seinfeld.

In 2016, he returned to Manchester and began releasing UK garage tracks via SoundCloud. His debut EP, Intergalactic Jack, was released in 2017 via E‑Beamz, followed by multiple EPs on independent UK labels including Shall Not Fade and Timeisnow. In 2019, Bruce co‑founded ATW Records with friend and producer Main Phase, as a platform for contemporary UK garage and breakbeat.

His major breakthrough arrived in 2022 when he produced "B.O.T.A. (Baddest of Them All)" with Eliza Rose, released independently on 15 June 2022 via Rosebud Recordings. Later licensed to Warner Records, the track became viral on TikTok, and topped the UK Singles Chart for two weeks. "B.O.T.A. (Baddest of Them All)" was the number one single in the United Kingdom on the day of the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the ascension of King Charles III. For the record, the duo were nominated for BRIT Award for Song of the Year. The track was later certified 2× platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

In 2025, Bruce won the Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year, for his track "No Time" featuring SadBoi.
